TOKYO AUTO SALON KUALA LUMPUR RETURNS FROM 8-11 NOVEMBER 2024 AND TICKETS ARE NOW AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE ONLINE
Tokyo Auto Salon Kuala Lumpur returns for a second year-running from 8-10 November 2024 at the Malaysia International Trade & Exhibition Centre (MITEC), with tickets available for purchase from today for early birds at an attractive discount.
Tokyo Auto Salon Kuala Lumpur is currently the only show that is held outside of Japan under license and modeled directly after the world famous annual Tokyo Auto Salon in Japan. The show is hosted in Malaysia by Element X Strategies as the Sole Official Licensee and MUSE Group Asia as the Co-Organizer, in collaboration with San Ei Corporation as the owner of the Tokyo Auto Salon intellectual property, and the Tokyo Auto Salon Federation.
More than 91,000 car enthusiasts and visitors visited the Inaugural Tokyo Auto Salon Kuala Lumpur last year with show covering a total floor space of 130,000 sq ft and included exhibitors, an auto styling competition, and a fleet of specially imported show-stopping cars from Japan and tier-1 tuners the likes of Top Secret, Spoon, HKS and Greddy among others. This year’s show will present 170,000 sq ft of breathtaking displays.
“This year’s Tokyo Auto Salon Kuala Lumpur promises to be an even highly exciting, bigger and supercharged experience for visitors and exhibitors. Like the original show in Japan, a great deal of effort has gone into ensuring that the exhibits this year continue to supersede the expectations of fans,” said Element X Strategies Director and Chief Executive Officer Jason Yap.
Meanwhile, MUSE Group Asia Chief Executive officer Encik Riduwan Matni said Japanese tuners and exhibitors were also taken aback by the reception of Malaysian fans in 2023 that they will be back in a bigger way this year.
“With merchandises and selected components unexpectedly sold out on the very first day, they found themselves taking pre-orders. In some ways it was a good problem to have, but they have assured us that they will definitely be better prepared for Malaysia this year,” said Riduwan.
Normal tickets are priced at RM50 per day for early birds, RM60 per day on event day, and RM120 for a 3-day pass to the show. Tickets for children age between 6 and 12 years old are priced at RM25 per day (early bird), RM30 per day (event day) and RM60 for a 3-day pass. Children below the age of 6 are granted free admission. All persons with disability (including 1 caregiver if required) are also entitled to 50% off the ticket prices.

Celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2023, the Tokyo Auto Salon is one of the top tier international shows for both enthusiasts and exhibitors. It was first held in 1983 to celebrate the innovative and creative display of Japanese manufactured cars, also known as JDM cars (Japan Domestic Model). It has also become a prestigious platform for vehicle manufacturers as well as aftermarket accessories and performance parts companies to showcase their latest products and technology.
Tickets can be purchased online from Tokyo Auto Salon KL website. Early bird purchases are restricted to the first 5,000 purchasers or until 31 July 2024, whichever comes first.
