NAZA Italia Concludes Maserati Distributorship in Malaysia as Group Realigns Automotive Strategy

NAZA Italia Sdn Bhd has formally begun the process of ending its role as the official importer and distributor of Maserati in Malaysia, issuing notice to Maserati S.p.A. in line with the 180-day requirement outlined in their longstanding agreement, which dates back to 1 January 2009.
The company emphasized that operations will continue without disruption throughout the transition period. According to NAZA Italia, it remains fully committed to “continuity and seamlessness” during this six-month phase, maintaining the professionalism, transparency and integrity that have defined the brand’s presence in the country.
NAZA Italia also expressed its appreciation for Maserati S.p.A., citing years of trust, collaboration and shared ambition throughout their partnership.

Sharpening NAZA Auto’s Focus for the Future
The decision to conclude the Maserati distributorship is part of a larger group-wide realignment under the NAZA Automotive Group (NAZA Auto). The company says the move will allow it to intensify its focus on high-potential brands and new growth areas.
NAZA Auto’s refreshed strategy encompasses several key areas, including:
- Further expansion of Suzuki Cars Malaysia’s network
- The new performance-luxury retail experience with Stars@Mercedes-Benz in Bangsar
- Strengthened customer service initiatives and investment in digital platforms
- Active evaluation of new automotive brands, including EV mobility and regional opportunities within ASEAN
NAZA Auto believes the refreshed direction places the Group in a strong position to navigate its next era of growth—one built on operational excellence, solid governance and long-term value for customers, partners and stakeholders.
