Perodua Expands QV-E Booking Locations to 34 Outlets Across Peninsular Malaysia

Perodua has expanded the number of sales outlets authorised to collect bookings for its QV-E electric vehicle to 34 selected locations across Peninsular Malaysia, up from the original nine outlets.
The expansion is aimed at improving access for customers interested in booking test drives and reserving Perodua’s first EV.
“We have received healthy interest from potential customers from across the country, and we are now expanding our reach to include more locations so that our customers can book test drives and reserve their very own Perodua QV-E,” Perodua President and Chief Executive Officer, Dato’ Sri Zainal Abidin Ahmad said.
Manual Bookings Now Available
In addition to bookings via Perodua’s P Circle super-app, selected outlets will now accept manual bookings to simplify the process for customers.
“Originally, we requested our customers to make their booking through our super-app, P Circle, but some of our customers asked to include the normal option of booking collection,” Dato’ Sri Zainal said.

Battery Leasing Programme Explained
Perodua also said it is simplifying the terms and conditions of its Battery-as-a-Service (BAAS) programme through an infographic-style explanation to help customers better understand how it works.
The BAAS is an independent service designed to protect customers and the environment. It carries a fixed monthly subscription of RM275 (all-in and final price) for 108 months (nine years).
Perodua said the subscription amount has been capped at RM275 to protect customers from future price increases. Under the programme, the electric battery will be fully maintained by Perodua, providing peace of mind even beyond the nine-year period.

Transferable for Resale
The BAAS subscription is also transferable if the vehicle is sold. Perodua will assist with the administrative process through its Pre-Owned Vehicle Department, removing the original owner’s name and registering the new owner under the same subscription.
For example, if the original owner has already completed 50 months of payments, the new owner will only need to continue paying the remaining 58 months.
Dato’ Sri Zainal said that the BAAS programme is Perodua’s commitment towards the safety and convenience of Perodua’s customers, while at the same time helping to preserve the environment by taking responsibility of the battery.

CarTok Editor’s Note:
There is a first for everything. Perodua had initiated a first in the local market with battery leasing, and it has now provided more clarity for its BAAS programme. Perodua’s approach seems cautious and structured for its EV rollout, and it now has wider booking access and clearer guidelines on battery ownership terms.
