Lambretta Malaysia Outlines 2026 Plan — New Models, Bigger Dealer Network, Merchandise… and a Record Attempt

At a recent gathering, Lambretta Malaysia unveiled a broad 2026 programme that included the launch of new models, a nationwide expansion of dealer and service network, introduction of an exclusive merchandise line, more community events, as well as an attempt to set an ASEAN / Asia record at the Petronas Sepang International Circuit.

What the Company Announced
Bike Continent Sdn Bhd, the official distributor of Lambretta, said the 2026 programme builds on the brand’s relaunch in Malaysia in July 2024 and recent sales momentum. The plan aims to broaden Lambretta’s presence across Peninsular Malaysia and to make the brand more accessible through more showrooms, service points and pop-up experiences.

New Models and Dealer Network Expansion
Lambretta Malaysia is planning to introduce two to five all-new models in 2026. The company said these scooters will combine modern technology with distinctive Lambretta styling, and are intended to meet growing demand from urban commuters, lifestyle riders and collectors.
To support sales and ownership, Bike Continent plans to grow its physical footprint to about 15–20 locations nationwide by the end of 2026, including full flagship outlets, dedicated service points and regional pop-ups. Target areas named in the release include Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Johor Bahru, Melaka, Pahang and Kelantan.

Community, Merchandise and Events
To cater to a growing group of enthusiasts, the company will launch an exclusive Lambretta merchandise collection in 2026 — apparel and lifestyle items inspired by the brand’s heritage — to be sold through official channels. It also plans a calendar of community activities: group rides, workshops, customization contests and cross-border rallies with neighbouring ASEAN clubs to strengthen local and regional Lambretta communities.

Sepang Record Attempt and Casa Lambretta Malaysia
A headline event for the year is an official record attempt at Sepang on 11 January 2026, for the largest gathering of Lambrettista staged as part of the Casa Lambretta Malaysia launch. The day is planned to include full-track Lambretta rides, exhibitions, live entertainment and record-keeping activities. Registration is free and available via Ticket2u so register now to secure a spot.
The launch of Casa Lambretta Malaysia is described as a dedicated hub for authentic parts, accessories and heritage displays — positioned as both a service and community focal point.
“We’ve seen a surge in demand from urban commuters, lifestyle riders, and collectors alike, solidifying Lambretta’s position as a premium scooter brand in Malaysia,” said Ronnie Chen, Managing Director, Bike Continent Sdn Bhd.
