Bermaz XPENG Sdn Bhd has expanded its Malaysian lineup with the introduction of the XPENG G6 RWD Standard Range, a new entry-level variant of its so-called “Ultra Smart Coupe SUV”. Following the launch of the Long Range and AWD Performance versions in October 2025, the Standard Range is positioned to make XPENG’s intelligent EV tech more accessible, with prices starting from RM158,888 (West Malaysia).
According to Bermaz Auto Berhad Group CEO Dato’ Sri Francis Lee, the move reflects XPENG’s broader strategy in Malaysia:

Built on XPENG’s SEPA 2.0 Platform
Like its higher-spec siblings, the G6 Standard Range is built on XPENG’s SEPA 2.0 architecture, which underpins the brand’s AI-driven EV systems. While positioned as the entry variant, it retains the core strengths of the platform, including structural rigidity, efficient packaging, and integrated software and intelligent systems.
The Standard Range variant features an optimised battery-and-motor setup designed for daily usability, ensuring consistent performance and efficiency without diluting the G6’s driving character.
Fast Charging, Practical Efficiency
Charging speed remains one of the G6’s biggest talking points—and the Standard Range doesn’t dilute it. The G6 Standard Range is built on XPENG’s 800V 5C ultra-fast charging platform and supports 10% to 80% charging in just 12 minutes. Its 68.5 kWh battery, which is around 50 kg lighter than the Long Range version, contributes to improved efficiency and a more responsive driving feel.
XPENG claims energy consumption as low as 16.6 kWh per 100 km, with a WLTP-rated range of up to 480 km. Real-world usability has also been considered, with the vehicle consuming only about 1% battery per hour when parked with air conditioning running—very useful in Malaysia’s wonderful climate.
XPILOT Assist Comes Standard
The G6 Standard Range is equipped with XPILOT Assist, XPENG’s intelligent driving assistance suite. With 21.5 TOPS (Trillions of Operations Per Second) of computing performance, the system processes real-time driving data to deliver smoother and more natural responses on the road.
Standard features include:
- Autonomous Parking Assist (APA)
- Auto Exit Parking Assist (AEP)
- Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)
- Lane Centering Control (LCC)
Together, these systems provide confident lane control, gentle braking, and accurate parking assistance in everyday driving conditions.
Familiar G6 Cabin, Thoughtful Tech
Inside, the Standard Range retains the G6’s clean, modern cabin design. Soft-touch materials, ambient lighting, and a minimalist layout are paired with XPENG’s intelligent software features. Customisable X-Combo settings allow drivers to automate everyday functions, such as activating cooled seats when the seatbelt is fastened.
Rear passengers benefit from an optimised seatback angle and extended cushion length for better long-distance comfort, while a clear, lag-free 360-degree camera system improves visibility during tight manoeuvres.
Performance Tuned for Daily Driving
Power comes from a rear-mounted electric motor producing 185 kW and 440 Nm of torque, delivering smooth and confident acceleration. The lighter battery setup enhances agility, while the suspension has been tuned to balance comfort and composure, particularly during lane changes and cornering.
The result is a driving experience that prioritises refinement and ease of use, rather than outright performance figures.
Pricing, Warranty and Ownership Package
The XPENG G6 Standard Range is fully imported from China and is now open for booking in Malaysia. Pricing across the G6 lineup is as follows:

- XPENG G6 RWD Long Range – RM178,888
- XPENG G6 AWD Performance – RM189,888
- XPENG G6 AWD Black Edition – RM193,888
All G6 purchases include either a 2-Year Unlimited Charging package by JomCharge or a complimentary 11kW Wallbox with installation by DC Handal.
Warranty coverage includes:
- 5-Year Manufacturer Warranty or 120,000 km
- 5 Years Free Service and Maintenance or 100,000 km
- 8-Year High Voltage Battery Warranty or 160,000 km
Bermaz XPENG also confirmed that there are no changes to specifications or pricing for other XPENG models currently on sale in Malaysia, including the G6 variants and the XPENG X9.
XPENG is in the midst of working on local assembly of its vehicles but we’ll only see one in Q2 at the earliest.
Roadshow at 1 Utama
The XPENG G6 Standard Range will be showcased at the XPENG Roadshow from 14 to 18 January 2026, at LUXE, 1 Utama Shopping Centre, from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
