Lambretta Malaysia Sets ASEAN and Asia Scooter Record with 818-Rider Sepang Circuit Community Ride

Last weekend, Lambretta Malaysia officially set a new ASEAN and Asia record by organising the largest brand-led scooter community fun ride ever held on a Formula 1-grade circuit, with a confirmed 818 registered participants riding at the Petronas Sepang International Circuit.

The milestone event, conducted in collaboration with Petronas Sepang International Circuit, brought together hundreds of Lambrettisti from across Malaysia and the region, uniting classic and modern scooters on one of Southeast Asia’s most iconic motorsport venues. The record-setting ride was held alongside Lambretta Malaysia’s latest brand activities at Sepang, marking a significant moment for the marque’s regional community.

A New Benchmark for Scooter Community Rides

According to organisers, the Sepang gathering now stands as the largest brand-organised scooter members’ fun ride conducted on an international-grade racing circuit in the ASEAN and Asia regions, underscoring the scale and organisational maturity of Lambretta’s local and regional owner network.

Participants ranged from long-time collectors riding carefully restored classic Lambrettas to newer owners on contemporary models, creating a rolling display of the brand’s evolution across generations.

Community-Driven Milestone

The record achievement highlights Lambretta Malaysia’s emphasis on the ownership experience and community-building rather than conventional product-led marketing. The closed-circuit format also provided riders with a rare opportunity to experience their scooters in a controlled, historic motorsports environment normally reserved for professional competition.

The event drew strong support from the Malaysian Lambretta community, reflecting the brand’s growing footprint since its market revival and continued expansion under official distributor Bike Continent Sdn Bhd.

Casa Lambretta X300 Adds Significance to the Occasion

The record-setting ride coincided with the Malaysian introduction of the Casa Lambretta X300 Limited Edition, a globally limited model capped at 999 units worldwide. A ceremonial handover of 68 units to Malaysian owners took place at Sepang, adding further significance to the day’s proceedings.

Developed in collaboration with the Casa Lambretta Racing Team, the X300 Limited Edition represents the performance-focused side of the brand’s modern lineup, serving as a fitting flagship presence at an event that highlighted both Lambretta’s heritage and its modern performance direction.

According to Bike Continent, the Sepang achievement reflects the strength and maturity of Lambretta’s Malaysian community, noting that the record-setting ride and the Casa Lambretta X300 handover were both driven by owner participation rather than marketing theatrics. The company added that seeing hundreds of riders on track at Sepang underscored Lambretta’s growing relevance in Asia, where heritage, performance, and community engagement are increasingly converging.

Strengthening Lambretta’s Regional Presence

The successful record attempt further reinforces Bike Continent Sdn Bhd’s standing within the Lambretta global network, following its recognition as best Lambretta distributor in 2025 for sales performance, customer service, and community development across Malaysia and ASEAN.

With verified participation numbers and a landmark venue, the Sepang achievement marks a new benchmark for scooter community events in the region — one that blends scale, heritage, and modern brand stewardship.

CarTok Editor’s Note:
Records are easy to announce but harder to earn. What stands out here isn’t the number, but the fact that hundreds of riders turned up, rode together, and made it count. That’s community, not choreography.
