BMW iX3 M60 xDrive Revealed With 612 hp, Up To 754km WLTP Range

BMW has revealed the iX3 M60 xDrive, an M Performance addition to its Neue Klasse electric SUV range, with output of 450kW/612 hp and a claimed 0–100km/h time of 3.9 seconds.

The global announcement points to orders opening at the end of January 2027, with production scheduled to begin at BMW’s Debrecen plant in Hungary in spring 2027.

Dual Motors And A 108.7kWh Battery

An electric motor at each axle provides all-wheel drive, with BMW quoting peak torque of 875Nm and top speed of 240km/h. Adaptive M suspension, variable sport steering and an electronically controlled rear M Sport differential are standard.

BMW’s Heart of Joy computer and M Dynamic Performance Control coordinate the powertrain and chassis functions. The hardware changes include additional front-end bracing and bespoke chassis tuning, making this more than an exterior styling package.

Up To 400kW DC Charging

The 800V electrical architecture supports a provisional maximum DC charging rate of 400kW, while the battery has a stated usable capacity of 108.7kWh. BMW is targeting up to 754km of WLTP range and includes 22kW AC charging.

BMW also claims that a ten-minute high-power charging session can add up to 340km of WLTP range. That figure assumes suitable charging infrastructure and favourable conditions; actual charging performance depends on factors including battery temperature and state of charge.

Exterior changes include M Yellow Lights, the BMW Iconic Glow package, standard 21-inch M wheels and a roof spoiler with two aeroblades. Wheel size options are up to 22 inches, and use of the yellow lighting depends market requirements.

Inside, BMW Panoramic iDrive with Operating System X pairs Panoramic Vision with a 17.9-inch central display. M Sport seats with massage function, an M steering wheel and a 13-speaker Harman Kardon system come standard. The 3D head-up display meanwhile is optional.
