Casa Lambretta X300 Limited Edition Launch in Malaysia, ASEAN & Asia Record Attempt at Sepang Circuit

Lambretta Malaysia officially launched the Casa Lambretta X300 Limited Edition at the Petronas Sepang International Circuit, coinciding with an ambitious community-led attempt to set new ASEAN and Asia records for the largest brand-organised scooter fun ride held on a Formula 1-grade circuit.

Limited to 999 units worldwide, the Casa Lambretta X300 Limited Edition is developed in collaboration with the Casa Lambretta Racing Team and positions itself as the most performance-focused production Lambretta to date. The model blends racing-inspired design cues — including the signature ‘47’ racing plate referencing Lambretta’s 1947 origins — with modern engineering and premium materials.

Performance and Engineering Focus

Powering the Casa Lambretta X300 is a 275cc single-cylinder, four-stroke, four-valve Lambretta Super Performance (LSP) engine, fed by a Bosch electronic fuel injection (EFI) system. The engine produces 25.1hp at 8,250rpm and 24.5Nm of torque at 6,250rpm, placing it firmly at the sharper end of the large-capacity scooter segment.

Cooling is handled by a liquid-cooled system with dual fans, while power is transmitted via a CVT transmission for everyday usability. Suspension duties are managed by a double arm-link front setup and dual rear springs, reinforcing Lambretta’s emphasis on stability and control rather than outright softness.

Braking is handled by disc brakes front and rear, supported by dual-channel ABS. The scooter rides on tubeless Pirelli Angel Scooter tyres, sized 120/70-12 at the front and 130/70-12 at the rear.

Distinctive Casa Lambretta Identity

Visually, the Casa Lambretta X300 Limited Edition distinguishes itself through CASA Performance carbon-fibre components, including the windscreen, rear spoiler, and front shock cover. Racing-derived graphics, special LAMBRETTA / INNOCENTI S.A. branding, and gold matte chrome finishes on selected exterior elements further reinforce its limited-edition status.

The scooter features a full-colour TFT instrument display offering five selectable interface themes, phone connectivity, multiple language options, and six brightness levels, aligning heritage styling with modern rider expectations.

Each unit includes an exclusive CASA Collectors Set, limited to the same 999-unit global production run.

Bike Continent Leads Malaysian Launch

The Malaysian introduction is led by Bike Continent Sdn Bhd, the official Lambretta distributor, with importation handled by Mofaz Motosikal Sdn Bhd. The global Lambretta brand is owned by Walter Scheffrahn under Innocenti SA.

A ceremonial highlight of the launch saw 68 units of the Casa Lambretta X300 Limited Edition delivered to Malaysian owners in a racing-themed presentation at Sepang, marking one of the earliest regional allocations for the limited model. This also reinforces Bike Continent as a prominent Lambretta distributor, having been recognised as best distributor for 2025 for its exceptional sales performance, outstanding customer service and commitment to the Lambretta family in Malaysia and ASEAN.

Malaysia managed to secure 99 units of this limited edition scooter. Following delivery of the first batch, the price of this collectible scooter is POA (price on application) due to the rarity of supply and high demand.

Sepang Circuit Community Ride Targets Regional Records

In collaboration with Petronas Sepang International Circuit, Lambretta Malaysia attempted to establish new ASEAN and Asia records during the Sepang event for the largest scooter community fun ride organised by a single brand on an international-grade circuit.

Hundreds of riders came to participate, bringing together restored classic Lambrettas and current-generation models in a closed-circuit gathering that blended heritage, performance, and community culture — a rare sight on a Formula 1-grade track.

Community at the Centre

The launch drew strong participation from Malaysia’s Lambretta community, with classic machines lined up alongside modern scooters. The turnout highlighted Lambretta’s continued relevance across generations, driven as much by ownership culture as by product appeal.

Sterz Yap, General Manager of Bike Continent Sdn Bhd, stated:

“Today is a dream come true for every Lambrettista in Malaysia. From the exclusive Casa X300 delivery to our record-breaking fun ride attempt on the iconic Sepang circuit, we’re not just launching a scooter—we’re fuelling a movement. The energy from our community is electric!”

Walter Scheffrahn, Lambretta Brand Owner, commented:

“The Casa Lambretta X300 represents the perfect fusion of our racing legacy and future vision. Witnessing this level of enthusiasm in Asia, especially with such a grand community event at Sepang, reaffirms why Lambretta remains an icon of style, freedom, and passion worldwide.”

CarTok Editor’s Note:
Plenty of brands talk about “community.” Fewer are confident enough to put hundreds of owners — and a limited-edition flagship — onto Sepang’s tarmac and let the scooters do the talking.
