TQ WULING Begins Local Assembly of Bingo EV in Malaysia, Priced from RM67,800
TQ WULING has officially commenced local assembly (CKD) of the TQ WULING Bingo EV in Malaysia, marking a key milestone in the brand’s long-term commitment to the local automotive and electric vehicle ecosystem.
The Bingo EV is now assembled at Tan Chong Group’s Segambut facility, a plant with an established automotive track record and internationally recognised quality and process standards, including ISO certifications. The move combines SAIC-GM-Wuling’s (SGMW) global EV expertise with Tan Chong Group’s local manufacturing capabilities, with vehicles optimised for Malaysian market requirements.
Phased CKD Rollout with Room to Scale
During the initial ramp-up phase, TQ WULING is adopting a phased production approach, allowing output to scale in line with demand as Malaysia’s EV market continues to grow. According to the company, this strategy supports supply stability, quality consistency and operational efficiency as local assembly operations mature.
Notably, the Bingo EV is the first EV to be locally assembled at the Tan Chong Assembly Plant.
Safety-led Positioning in the Affordable EV Segment
Positioned as an accessible urban EV, the locally assembled Bingo EV is priced to broaden EV ownership while maintaining a strong focus on safety.
The model is positioned as the first in its segment to offer six airbags, alongside the use of 1,500 MPa ultra-high-tensile steel in its body structure. This reinforced construction is designed to improve structural rigidity and impact absorption for enhanced occupant protection.
Variants, Pricing and Launch Offers
The TQ WULING Bingo EV is offered in two variants:
- Bingo PRO: RM67,800
- Bingo MAX: RM72,800
To mark the launch, TQ WULING is offering Bingo’s Fabulous 5 Perks, which include a RM5,000 cash rebate, bringing on-the-road prices down to:

Built for Urban Use
Designed for city driving, the Bingo EV combines compact dimensions with a retro-inspired design and everyday practicality.
Driving range figures (CLTC) are quoted at:
- Up to 333 km for the Bingo PRO
- Up to 410 km for the Bingo MAX
Interior highlights include:
- “Floating-island” style centre console
- Dual 10.25-inch displays for instrumentation and infotainment
- 15 interior storage compartments
- Up to 1,240 litres of boot space with rear seats folded
Exterior colour options include Milky White, Neon Blue, and Lavender Purple, all paired with a contrasting black roof.
Proven MAGIC Battery Technology
The Bingo EV uses Wuling’s proprietary MAGIC EV battery, developed under the brand’s ultra-high-standard battery safety system. The battery incorporates reinforced pack construction, advanced thermal management and comprehensive electrical safeguards.
According to Wuling, the system has undergone extensive testing under extreme conditions, including impact, compression, fire exposure, water immersion and thermal stress. Across more than three million Wuling EVs sold globally, the MAGIC Battery has recorded zero incidents of fire or explosion.
The battery also carries an IP68 rating, providing protection against dust ingress and water immersion, including during heavy rain or flooded conditions.
Warranty and Network
The TQ WULING Bingo EV comes with:
- 8-year/120,000 km EV battery warranty
- 8-year/160,000 km drive motor warranty
- 5-year/150,000 km vehicle warranty
(whichever comes first)
Customer support is provided through six TQ WULING showrooms across Peninsular Malaysia, along with seven aftersales centres via Tan Chong Motor Holdings’ service network, with more outlets planned.
