TQ WULING Celebrates First Customer Deliveries; Adds Standard ADAS To Bingo EV

TQ WULING handed over the first locally assembled Bingo EVs to Malaysian customers last week, marking the brand’s move from launch phase to real-world ownership and signalling early momentum for the model in the local market.
Keys in Hand: Early Buyers Cite Practicality and Value
The handover ceremony brought together the first group of owners and TQ WULING staff, and underlined early demand and growing consumer confidence as deliveries begin nationwide. “This moment is about more than handing over vehicles – it represents trust, confidence and the beginning of many ownership journeys. We sincerely thank our first customers for believing in TQ WULING and for being part of our EV journey in Malaysia,” said Wan Wei Sun, Head of Business, TQ Manufacturing Sdn Bhd.
Early customers praised the Bingo EV for everyday usability. “I was drawn to the retro-modern design of the TQ WULING Bingo EV from the start. After the test drive, I was pleasantly surprised by how responsive and easy it is to drive in the city. Beyond the looks, knowing that the maintenance support is there gives me real peace of mind. It’s stylish, practical, and within my budget,” said Intan, an early owner.
Another owner added: “Since receiving our TQ WULING Bingo EV, we’ve enjoyed it very much. It’s surprisingly spacious, the air-conditioning is perfect for our hot weather, and the drivability is superb. For daily use, it’s an excellent choice. What impressed us most was the affordability and how easily it manoeuvres through traffic congestion. With the backing of Tan Chong and WULING, we have strong confidence that the car will deliver on its promises.,” said Christine.

Safety as Standard: ADAS Across Both Variants
Coinciding with deliveries, TQ WULING confirmed that the locally assembled Bingo EV now includes a suite of Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) features as standard across both variants. The package listed by the company includes:
- Blind Spot Warning
- Lane Change Assist
- Rear Cross Traffic Alert
- Rear Collision Warning
- Low-Speed Pedestrian Warning
- Door Opening Warning
- Tyre Pressure Monitoring System
- Rain-sensing auto wipers
- Walk-away auto lock and unlock
- Impact-sensing automatic door unlock
The car is also built with high-tensile steel and is equipped with six airbags — Malaysia is the first market to receive this enhanced airbag configuration, the company said — raising the Bingo’s safety credentials for urban and family buyers.

Compact, Flexible Design for City Life
Assembled locally at Tan Chong Group’s facility in Segambut, the Bingo EV combines compact exterior dimensions with a surprisingly practical interior. Highlights include 15 storage compartments, a flexible boot capacity of up to 1,240 litres with the rear seats folded, and a floating-island centre console that integrates dual 10.25-inch digital displays with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Colour choices skew youthful — Milky White, Neon Blue and Lavender Purple with a contrasting black roof — while the two powertrain choices offer practical ranges under CLTC testing: the Bingo PRO (up to 333 km) and the Bingo MAX (up to 410 km).
Proven Battery Safety and Global Track Record
The Bingo EV uses SGM-Wuling’s proprietary MAGIC EV Battery, engineered under an ultra-high-standard battery safety program. The battery has been tested under impact, compression, fire exposure, water immersion and thermal stress, and carries an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. The company highlighted a global track record of zero fire or explosion incidents across more than three million Wuling EVs as part of its safety messaging.

Ownership Offers and Aftersales Support
Early customers are eligible for the Bingo EV Fabulous 5 ownership package, which includes:
- RM5,000 cash rebate (on-the-road price: RM62,800 for Bingo PRO; RM67,800 for Bingo MAX)
- EV battery warranty: 8 years / 120,000 km; drive motor warranty: 8 years / 160,000 km
- Low monthly instalments from RM625/month (selected financiers)
- Complimentary 7kW home charger and portable 3-pin charger
- Complimentary TQ premium solar tinting package and comprehensive insurance with 17 EV-specific benefits
TQ WULING currently supports customers through six showrooms — Glenmarie, Jalan Raja Laut, OUG, Melati Utama, Butterworth and Johor Jaya — and seven aftersales centres within the Tan Chong Group’s service network, with more outlets planned as sales grow.
What This Means for Buyers
By making core ADAS features standard and pairing them with enhanced airbag protection and an extended battery warranty, TQ WULING is positioning the Bingo EV as a practical, value-focused option for urban Malaysians who want an affordable entry into electric driving without sacrificing familiar safety protections or aftersales support.

Looking Ahead
Following the initial handovers, the brand said it will continue nationwide deliveries while expanding its sales and aftersales footprint to meet demand. As the model moves from early adopters into wider ownership, the combination of local assembly, standard safety hardware and an accessible ownership package will be central to its proposition.

CarTok Editor’s Note
TQ WULING has chosen a pragmatic launch play: keep prices accessible, stack on safety, and lean on local assembly and Tan Chong’s network. It’s a recipe that turns a cute, city-friendly EV into something buyers can rationally live with day to day — which is exactly what mass-market EV adoption needs. Less flash, more fundamentals.
