Hap Seng Star Bukit Tinggi is now home to Southeast Asia’s first and only Mercedes-AMG ONE Service Hub, establishing Malaysia as a regional servicing destination for one of the world’s most exclusive road cars.
Established by Mercedes-Benz Malaysia with an investment of RM2.2 million, the purpose-built facility joins a select global network of service hubs supporting the Mercedes-AMG ONE, alongside locations in Germany, Switzerland, the Middle East and Japan.
With a base price of €2.275 million and production limited to 275 units worldwide, the Mercedes-AMG ONE requires an ownership and aftersales experience far removed from that of an ordinary performance car.

Formula 1 Technology Demands Specialised Servicing
The Mercedes-AMG ONE brings Formula 1-derived hybrid technology to the road, combining a 1.6-litre V6 turbocharged engine with four electric motors to deliver more than 1,063hp. The engine can rev to 11,000 rpm.
Routine servicing can take approximately 80 hours, reflecting the complexity of the powertrain and the specialised procedures required to maintain it.
Hap Seng Star’s facility is equipped with specialised high-voltage tools, vehicle-specific diagnostic equipment and controlled working conditions. Its technicians have undergone dedicated training and received Mercedes-AMG certification to perform approved diagnostic, maintenance and servicing procedures.
The team also has direct technical support from Mercedes-AMG specialists in Affalterbach, Germany, helping ensure work follows the manufacturer’s requirements.
Dedicated Support For An Exclusive Ownership Experience
Beyond the technical requirements, the hub is designed to accommodate the expectations of a highly exclusive clientele.
Controlled vehicle storage and working conditions support the handling of these rare cars, while dedicated liaison officers coordinate communication with regional and international customers. An integrated digital service framework provides diagnostic reporting, complemented by in-country technical “Flying Doctors” support for first-level assistance across the region.
The facility also benefits from its proximity to Mercedes-Benz Parts Logistics Asia Pacific in Malaysia, supporting parts distribution and inventory coordination to improve responsiveness when maintenance or replacement components are required. Besides technical expertise, Malaysia is also home to the Sepang International Circuit, the perfect track to unleash 1,063hp

Malaysia Strengthens Regional Service Coverage
Malaysia’s connectivity by land, sea and air makes it a practical base for coordinating specialised automotive support across Southeast Asia. Working alongside the existing Japanese facility, the Bukit Tinggi hub extends Mercedes-AMG ONE servicing coverage across the wider Asia-Pacific region.
Martin Schulz, CEO and President of Mercedes-Benz Cars Malaysia and Head of Region for Mercedes-Benz Cars Southeast Asia, said the appointment reinforces Malaysia’s strategic role within the brand’s regional operations and reflects confidence in the country’s technical expertise.
Lee Weng Yew, Chief Executive of the Automotive Division at Hap Seng Consolidated, said the appointment recognises Hap Seng Star’s certified technical capabilities, specialised team and longstanding partnership with Mercedes-Benz Malaysia.
The facility also highlights Malaysia’s potential to develop high-value automotive services beyond conventional vehicle sales and maintenance, supporting specialist technical work for an international clientele.

CarTok Editor’s Note
A €2.275 million hypercar is not something owners can entrust to just any workshop. With routine servicing taking around 80 hours, the Mercedes-AMG ONE needs specialist tools, trained technicians and direct factory support. Hap Seng Star’s new facility gives Malaysia a credible role in that highly specialised ecosystem.
This is a significant investment which says a lot about Malaysia’s automotive capabilities. Not only is it a strategic location, it shows that we also have the skills to handle some of the most technically demanding vehicles in the world. The number of owners may be small, but the expertise required is substantial.
