DENZA Malaysia has officially launched the all-electric DENZA Z9GT in Malaysia, with the country becoming the first market in the Asia Pacific region to introduce the brand’s flagship luxury grand tourer. Priced at RM358,800 (excluding insurance and registration), the Z9GT combines cutting-edge electric vehicle technology with high-performance credentials and premium luxury features.
The launch took place against the backdrop of the Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur, where DENZA showcased the Z9GT’s advanced capabilities through live demonstrations of its Compass Turn and Crab Walk functions, alongside a performance featuring a string quartet, opera and ballet.
Built On BYD’s e3 Platform
The Z9GT is underpinned by BYD’s e3 Platform, the company’s most advanced intelligent vehicle architecture to date, combining extreme performance with technologies designed to improve manoeuvrability and driving dynamics.
Its tri-motor all-wheel drive system produces a combined 850kW (1,156PS) and 1,210Nm of torque, enabling a claimed 0-100km/h sprint in just 2.7 seconds. Energy is supplied by a 122.49kWh Second Generation Blade Battery, delivering a claimed 701km driving range (NEDC).
The e3 Platform also introduces several advanced features, including:

- 4.62m turning radius
- Crab Mode
- Compass Turn

- Vehicle Motion Control (VMC)
These systems allow the Z9GT to manoeuvre more easily in tight spaces while enhancing stability and precision during everyday driving.
1,000V Architecture Supports Flash Charging
The DENZA Z9GT is among the first models built on BYD’s 1,000V high-voltage architecture, enabling compatibility with the company’s latest Flash Charging Technology.
According to DENZA, the battery can be charged from 10% to 70% in just five minutes, or from 10% to 97% in nine minutes, when connected to compatible ultra-high-power charging infrastructure.
Compared with the previous generation, the new Blade Battery offers around 5% higher energy density while maintaining the safety standards that have become a hallmark of BYD’s battery technology.
Premium Grand Touring Cabin
Inside, the Z9GT features a luxurious cabin equipped with a Devialet 20-speaker premium audio system, Google built-in connectivity, a high-performance infotainment processor and a wide range of comfort and convenience features.
Customers can choose between two exterior colours — Rime Gold and Obsidian Black — paired with multiple interior themes, including Dark Chocolate with Perg Beige, Dark Chocolate with Red Velvet, or an all-black suede interior accented with yellow stitching.
