Atiara Johan Opens First Proton e.MAS Lifestyle Showroom At Pavilion Bukit Jalil

AJG Mobility Sdn Bhd, the electric vehicle (EV) division of Atiara Johan Group, has expanded its Proton e.MAS retail network with the opening of its first shopping mall showroom at Pavilion Bukit Jalil.

The new 1,800 sq ft outlet represents the group’s move into lifestyle-focused retail, allowing Proton e.MAS to reach potential customers in one of Kuala Lumpur’s busiest shopping destinations while making EV exploration more accessible to everyday consumers.

Modern Retail Concept

Designed around Proton e.MAS’ latest Corporate Identity (CI), the showroom features a contemporary retail environment with premium finishes, interactive digital displays, dedicated consultation areas and upgraded customer touchpoints.

Visitors can view the Proton e.MAS model range, learn more about the brand’s electric mobility technologies and receive personalised consultations from product specialists.

Expanding Beyond Traditional Dealerships

According to Atiara Johan Group CEO Eric Moo, the new showroom reflects changing customer expectations and the company’s strategy to engage consumers in locations they already frequent.

He said establishing the group’s first Proton e.MAS showroom in a shopping mall marks an important milestone as AJG Mobility expands into lifestyle retail, while strengthening Proton e.MAS’ growing retail network.

Moo added that Pavilion Bukit Jalil’s mix of shopping, dining and leisure activities provides an ideal environment to introduce electric mobility to a wider audience and create more opportunities for customers to experience Proton’s EV technology.

Strengthening Klang Valley Presence

Strategically located with convenient access via major highways, the Pavilion Bukit Jalil outlet is expected to broaden Proton e.MAS’ reach among urban consumers across the Klang Valley.

The showroom operates daily from 10:00AM to 10:00PM.

It joins AJG Mobility’s existing Proton e.MAS outlets in Puchong and Seri Kembangan, giving the dealer group three locations serving customers in the Klang Valley.

In addition to vehicle sales, customers also have access to aftersales support through AJG Mobility’s dedicated Proton e.MAS service centre, providing servicing and maintenance throughout the ownership journey.

CarTok Editor’s Note

Mall-based showrooms are particularly well-suited to EV brands because they bring the product directly to consumers, saving them the effort of visiting a conventional dealership. Unlike internal combustion vehicles, EVs typically require less frequent servicing, allowing brands to rely less on the traditional 3S (sales, service and spare parts) dealership model and place greater emphasis on convenient, experience-focused retail spaces.

For Proton e.MAS, opening at Pavilion Bukit Jalil complements its existing dealership network while reflecting a broader shift in how EVs are being marketed and sold in Malaysia.
