PUSPAKOM Introduces GiCheck G.E.A.R For Next-Day Private Vehicle Inspections
Private vehicle owners who need urgent inspections can now secure faster appointments through PUSPAKOM’s new GiCheck Early Access Reservation (G.E.A.R) service, which offers next-day inspection slots at selected branches.
Available from 19 July 2026 via the GiCheck online booking platform, the premium booking option is designed for customers who are unable to secure regular appointments or require inspections within a short timeframe.
You can start making bookings from 12.00am on 19 July for inspection appointments starting 20 July 2026.
Pilot Programme At Three Branches
The service will initially be offered at PUSPAKOM’s Batu Caves, Glenmarie and Wangsa Maju inspection centres as part of a pilot programme before being expanded nationwide based on customer demand.
G.E.A.R is aimed at private vehicle owners with time-sensitive requirements, including buyers and sellers completing ownership transfers, as well as customers needing inspections for financing or other urgent purposes.
RM150 Introductory Fee
The service carries an introductory fee of RM150 per vehicle for eligible private vehicle inspections.
Customers who select G.E.A.R will receive a dedicated Priority Appointment confirmation through the GiCheck platform.
PUSPAKOM said only a small allocation of each participating branch’s daily inspection capacity will be reserved for G.E.A.R bookings. The majority of inspection slots will continue to be made available through the normal booking system, ensuring existing customers are not affected.
The company said the new option was introduced in response to increasing demand for greater appointment flexibility, particularly during peak periods such as month-end, festive seasons and periods with high vehicle ownership transfer activity.
Improving Flexibility
PUSPAKOM Chief Executive Officer Mahmood Razak Bahman said the new service is intended to provide customers with greater flexibility while maintaining fair access to inspection appointments.
“Customers today increasingly expect services that are not only reliable, but also flexible enough to meet different needs and circumstances. This will allow private vehicle owners an additional option when time is critical, while ensuring our existing appointment system continues to serve the wider public effectively.”
He added that G.E.A.R gives customers another option when completing ownership transfers, meeting financing requirements or dealing with unexpected situations that require a faster inspection appointment.
