Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has introduced the new Mercedes-Benz GLC 350 e 4MATIC Coupé Nightfall Edition, a locally assembled plug-in hybrid SUV coupé priced at RM442,888 (on the road without insurance in Peninsular Malaysia).
As its name suggests, the Nightfall Edition is based on the GLC 350 e 4MATIC Coupé and adds a range of black exterior styling elements through the Night Package, giving the model a more distinctive appearance.
The new variant is assembled at Mercedes-Benz Malaysia’s production plant in Pekan, Pahang, making it another locally assembled electrified model from the German marque.

Over 100km Electric Range
The GLC 350 e 4MATIC Coupé Nightfall Edition combines a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine with an electric motor, producing a combined system output of 230kW (313hp) and 550Nm.
Power is sent through a 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission to the 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system.
The SUV coupé can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds and has a top speed of 220 km/h.
For shorter daily journeys, the plug-in hybrid system provides an all-electric WLTP range of more than 100km, with electric driving possible at speeds of up to 140 km/h.
Charging is supported by an 11kW three-phase AC onboard charger, with a Mode 2 charging cable included with the vehicle.
Blacked-Out Exterior
The main visual difference between the Nightfall Edition and the regular GLC Coupé comes from its Night Package.
High-gloss black elements are applied to the Mercedes-Benz pattern, radiator grille louvre, beltline trim, window frames, exterior mirror housings, rear apron and diffuser.
The exterior is further distinguished by dark chrome door handles and 20-inch AMG multi-spoke light-alloy wheels finished in black.
Other standard exterior equipment includes a panoramic sliding sunroof, aluminium-look running boards with rubber studs and ambient lighting with a projected Mercedes-Benz logo.
The model also comes with DIGITAL LIGHT with Adaptive Highbeam Assist Plus, which adjusts the light distribution according to traffic conditions while reducing glare for other road users.

AMG Line Interior
Inside, the Nightfall Edition retains the equipment specification of the GLC 350 e 4MATIC Coupé AMG Line.
Features include ARTICO man-made leather upholstery, metal-structure trim and a multifunction sports steering wheel in Nappa leather.
The digital cockpit consists of a 12.3-inch driver display and 11.9-inch central display, with MBUX Navigation Premium and MBUX Augmented Reality Navigation.
Audio is handled by a Burmester 3D surround sound system featuring 15 individually controlled speakers and a DSP amplifier.
Other equipment includes heated and electrically adjustable front seats with memory function, THERMATIC automatic climate control, KEYLESS-GO, ambient lighting, acoustic glass and rear-door roller sunblinds.
Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are also supported, while a wireless smartphone charging system and 5G communication module are included.

Driving Assistance And Parking Technology
The GLC 350 e 4MATIC Coupé Nightfall Edition comes with the Driving Assistance Package Plus, which includes Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC, Active Lane Keeping Assist and PRE-SAFE Impulse Side.
The Parking Package adds a 360-degree camera, active parking assistance with PARKTRONIC and a “transparent bonnet” view.
Other safety equipment includes a tyre pressure monitoring system, rear seat belt status display, automatic front passenger airbag deactivation, GUARD 360° Vehicle protection and an acoustic presence indicator.
Price And Agility+ Financing
Mercedes-Benz Malaysia is also offering the model through its Agility+ financing programme from RM4,788 per month.
The package includes a fifth-year extended limited warranty under Star Gold, four Compact Service Packages and a Guaranteed Future Value.
Mercedes-Benz Malaysia says the Agility+ programme also offers flexible end-of-term options and its MobilityPlus programme, subject to terms and conditions.
CarTok Editor’s Note
The Nightfall Edition is essentially a styling-focused addition to Mercedes-Benz Malaysia’s locally assembled GLC Coupé plug-in hybrid range. Its key proposition is the combination of a 313hp plug-in hybrid powertrain, more than 100km of claimed electric range, all-wheel drive and a heavily blacked-out exterior.
At RM442,888, this is firmly a premium proposition in tune with the branding. The all-electric range could make it particularly attractive for buyers whose daily commutes can be completed on battery power, saving the petrol engine for longer journeys.
