DENZA is preparing to introduce its most technologically advanced model yet with the arrival of the all-new DENZA Z9GT, which will make its Asia Pacific debut in Malaysia on 15 July 2026.
The flagship luxury electric grand tourer brings together BYD Group’s latest technologies, including the new e³ Platform, Second Generation Blade Battery 2.0, and BYD Flash Charging Technology.

Following its official launch, the Z9GT will be available for public viewing and test drives at DENZA Premium showrooms nationwide from 16 July onwards.
Malaysia will become the first market in the Asia Pacific region to launch the Z9GT, further expanding DENZA’s local lineup after the D9 luxury MPV and B8 Luxury SUV.
Tri-motor AWD Produces 1,156 PS
Powering the Z9GT is BYD’s new e³ Platform, featuring a tri-motor all-wheel drive system producing up to 850 kW (1,156 PS) and 1,210 Nm of torque.
Performance figures are equally impressive, with the Z9GT capable of accelerating from 0-100 km/h in just 2.7 seconds, while offering a claimed 701 km (NEDC) electric driving range.
Beyond outright performance, the e³ Platform also introduces several advanced chassis technologies designed to improve everyday usability.
Rear-wheel steering provides up to 15 degrees of steering angle, allowing the Z9GT to achieve a turning radius of just 4.62 metres despite its large footprint.

Other intelligent driving functions include:
- e³ Parking
- Crab Mode
- Pencil Compass Turn
- Vehicle Motion Control (VMC)
Ride comfort is handled by the DiSus-A Dual Chamber Air Suspension, which continuously adjusts damping and suspension characteristics according to road conditions.
1,000V Architecture With Five-Minute Fast Charging
The Z9GT is equipped with BYD’s latest Second Generation Blade Battery 2.0.
The 122.49 kWh battery operates on a 1,000V high-voltage architecture, enabling compatibility with the company’s new Flash Charging Technology.
According to DENZA, the system can charge the battery from:
- 10% to 70% in five minutes
- 10% to 97% in nine minutes
The new battery is also said to offer around 5% higher energy density than the previous generation while maintaining the safety standards associated with the Blade Battery design, including resistance to thermal runaway following nail penetration testing.

Luxury Cabin With Devialet Audio
The Z9GT adopts DENZA’s “Elegance in Motion” design philosophy, featuring a flowing grand tourer silhouette with distinctive styling elements such as:
- Dual Line LED headlamps
- Hourglass LED taillights
- Meteor Welcome Lighting
Inside, the cabin combines genuine leather upholstery with real wood trim.

Key interior features include:
- Electrically operated soft-close doors
- Front seats with active side bolsters
- Devialet 20-speaker premium audio system
- Dual 50W wireless chargers for front occupants
- Rear 50W wireless charger
- Compressor refrigerator with heating function
- 495-litre rear luggage compartment
- 53-litre front trunk (frunk)
Powered By 3nm Infotainment Processor
The infotainment system is driven by a 3nm high-performance processor and integrates Google Built-in services for navigation, connectivity and digital vehicle functions.
Flash Charging Infrastructure Planned
To support the Z9GT, BYD Malaysia said it will progressively roll out BYD Flash Charging facilities at selected DENZA Premium showrooms nationwide.
Customers can already register their interest ahead of the official launch, with pricing and full Malaysian specifications expected to be announced on launch day. For more information, visit https://www.denza.com/my
CarTok Editor’s Note:
The DENZA Z9GT is shaping up to be more than just another premium EV launch. It also serves as the first showcase of BYD’s next-generation technologies, particularly its 1,000V electrical architecture and ultra-fast charging capability.
If DENZA succeeds in rolling out enough high-power chargers in Malaysia, the Z9GT could help shift the conversation from battery size and range towards charging speed and convenience. This could likely be the next major battleground for premium electric vehicles.
