Isuzu Hands Over Final GIGA EXR Prime Movers To East Malaysian Customers

ISUZU Malaysia Sdn Bhd (IMSB), through its Sarawak dealer partner KM Mobil Sdn Bhd, has delivered the final remaining units of its GIGA EXR52UU (EXR420) manual transmission prime mover to three customers in East Malaysia.
The recipients were Bintulu Container Services Sdn Bhd, Perfect Drive Logistics Sdn Bhd and Reliable Status Sdn Bhd, with each company taking delivery of one unit.
A handover ceremony was recently held at the KM Mobil Isuzu showroom in Bintulu, attended by IMSB chief operating officer Masashi Nuijima and KM Mobil regional manager Kenn Tan.

Final Units Of GIGA Prime Series
The trucks represent the last remaining units from the Isuzu GIGA Prime series, which has served the Malaysian logistics and haulage industry for several years.
According to Nuijima, the GIGA EXR prime mover was developed for long-haul transport, cargo and tanker operations, combining high engine output with a durable chassis to deliver performance, efficiency and safety.
“Our GIGA truck range has played a key role in the country’s development and construction industries while contributing significantly to the success of our customers and our brand,” he said.
Tan thanked customers for their continued confidence in the brand. “Their trust highlights the importance of strong customer relationships, and we remain committed to supporting their future transport requirements,” he said.

Looking Ahead
Nuijima added that Isuzu plans to strengthen its commercial vehicle lineup with newer powertrains and advanced technologies to help fleet operators improve business efficiency.
He also noted that Isuzu has maintained its position as Malaysia’s leading truck brand through continued customer support.
In 2025, IMSB sold more than 6,880 commercial vehicles, securing the number one position in the light-duty truck segment for the 16th consecutive year and retaining the overall truck brand leadership for the 12th consecutive year.

The company said it will continue expanding its commercial vehicle offerings in line with evolving logistics requirements while supporting carbon neutrality initiatives through future transport solutions.
CarTok Editor’s Note
The handover marks the end of one chapter for the GIGA Prime series in Malaysia as Isuzu transitions to a newer-generation. As logistics operators face increasing pressure to improve efficiency while reducing emissions, the company’s focus will shift towards more advanced powertrains and technologies that meet changing fleet requirements.
