PUSPAKOM Opens Kajang Centre With Capacity For 800 Vehicles A Day, AI Inspections Planned

PUSPAKOM Sdn Bhd has opened its new PUSPAKOM Kajang inspection centre, adding inspection capacity in the growing Kajang-Semenyih corridor, while preparing the facility for future AI-assisted inspection technology.
The centre in Bandar Teknologi Kajang began a phased opening with private vehicle inspections, while services for light commercial vehicles will be introduced progressively through the following months.
Routine and Re-Routine inspections for light commercial vehicles are scheduled to begin on 28 October, followed by Initial and Re-Initial inspections from 23 November.

The new facility is PUSPAKOM’s largest centre dedicated to light commercial and private vehicle inspections, with 10 inspection lanes – five for commercial vehicles and five for private vehicles.
It has the capacity to inspect up to 800 vehicles a day, giving PUSPAKOM additional capacity to serve customers in Kajang, Semenyih, Beranang, Bangi and surrounding areas.
The centre is expected to provide an alternative to existing inspection facilities in Bangi, Cheras and Shah Alam, particularly as demand grows in southern Selangor.
PUSPAKOM said the new branch was designed with a greater focus on customer experience, featuring a modern interior, air-conditioned waiting area and improved customer flow.
It is also the first PUSPAKOM branch to incorporate the company’s corporate identity into its branch design, as part of efforts to create a more consistent experience across its network.
The opening follows the closure of PUSPAKOM Pandan Mewah on 30 September. Customers previously using the Pandan Mewah facility can use PUSPAKOM Kajang or other nearby branches (subject to inspection slot availability).
AI-Assisted Inspection Planned From November
Beyond increasing capacity, PUSPAKOM Kajang is also set to become a platform for the company’s next stage of inspection technology.
AI-assisted inspection capabilities covering both undercarriage and above-carriage inspections are planned for implementation from November 2026.
“The Kajang branch will also serve as an important platform for PUSPAKOM’s future technology initiatives, with AI-assisted inspection capabilities covering both undercarriage and above-carriage inspections planned for implementation from November 2026,” said PUSPAKOM chief executive officer Mahmood Razak Bahman.

He said the initial implementation would focus on data collection and capability enhancement as PUSPAKOM continues to develop its AI inspection technologies.
This makes the Kajang centre significant beyond its physical capacity as it will provide a base for PUSPAKOM to test and develop technology aimed at supporting its inspection operations.
10 Lanes, 800 Vehicles A Day
The centre will offer a range of inspection services including Initial Inspection for light vehicles, Routine Inspection, Special Inspection, Transfer of Ownership Inspection (MV15), Hire Purchase Inspection (B7) and Voluntary Vehicle Inspection (B2).
The phased opening is intended to allow PUSPAKOM to bring services online progressively while ensuring operational readiness and smoother customer experience.
The location is also intended to address growing demand in the Kajang-Semenyih area, where population and economic activity have been expanding.
According to projections by Majlis Perbandaran Kajang (MPKj) cited by PUSPAKOM, the population within its administrative area is expected to increase from about 1.12 million in 2025 to 1.35 million by 2035, with Semenyih among the areas recording the highest growth rates in the district.

CarTok Editor’s Note
The immediate benefits of PUSPAKOM Kajang are more inspection lanes and greater capacity in an area where population and vehicle demand are growing.
Then there is the planned introduction of AI-assisted inspection technology covering both the undercarriage and above-carriage, which is meant to make its inspection capabilities more efficient.
For a business that handles high volumes of vehicle inspections, the use of technology has the potential to improve consistency, data capture and operational efficiency.
PUSPAKOM Kajang is located at Lot 1A & 1B, Jalan P4/13, Bandar Teknologi Kajang, 43500 Semenyih, Selangor.
The centre operates from 8am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday. Inspection appointments can be made through GiCheck.
