Motul Malaysia brought its motorsport heritage closer to everyday riders during the Malaysian Grand Prix 2026 at the Sepang International Circuit last weekend.
The race weekend attracted more than 196,000 spectators, with Motul using the occasion to demonstrate how technology developed and tested in motorsport translates into lubricants for motorcycles used on racetracks, highways and city streets.
The brand’s booth featured a towering V-shaped arch symbolising victory, alongside interactive zones highlighting its products for different riding needs.

From Racetrack To Road
Motorsport remains a key part of Motul’s product development strategy. As a longstanding MotoGP partner, the company uses the demanding conditions of racing to develop and test lubricant technology before applying its expertise to products for everyday riders.

At Sepang, Motul showcased three product ranges reflecting different riding experiences.
The Journey of Thrill zone featured Motul 300V 0W-30, a racing-grade lubricant powered by ESTER Core® technology. Motul says the formulation delivers consistent horsepower and has achieved the fastest times in testing.
For riders who enjoy longer journeys, the Journey of Freedom zone highlighted Motul 7100, designed to keep engines in top condition during long-haul rides.
Meanwhile, the Journey of Flow zone focused on urban mobility, featuring Motul Scooter Power LE MB, which provides performance and protection for scooters navigating everyday stop-and-go traffic.
The showcase reflected Motul’s approach of bringing its motorsport expertise to a broad range of riders, from performance enthusiasts to daily commuters.

Motul GP Travel Kits Introduced in Malaysia
Motul also introduced its GP Travel Kits to Malaysian riders during the race weekend.
Available in Chain and Helmet editions, the compact kits are designed to bring race-inspired motorcycle care to riders wherever their journeys take them.
The introduction adds a practical ownership-focused element to Motul’s motorsport presence, extending the brand’s involvement beyond lubricant technology and into motorcycle care.
“Seeing so many Malaysian riders at Sepang, from seasoned enthusiasts to everyday commuters, reminds us who that innovation is ultimately for,” said Ravi Shankar, General Manager of Motul Malaysia.
“Malaysia’s riding community is among the most passionate we know, and we will continue to support riders here with products and experiences that bring the performance of the racetrack to every ride.”
Fans Meet MotoGP Riders
Motul’s activities extended beyond its product showcase, giving fans opportunities to engage with the sport.
80 fans met Prima Pramac Racing Team riders Jack Miller and Augusto Fernández for photographs and autograph sessions.

The following day, Ravi Shankar and Yvonne Ng, Senior Marketing Manager of Motul Malaysia, presented prizes for Weeks 6 and 7 of the brand’s 11 Weeks, 11 Bikes campaign.
Two winners took home a Honda CB250R and a Peugeot Django Classic.
The campaign continues until 8 November 2026, with a Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25RR remaining as the grand prize.

Peugeot Speedfight 4+ GP Edition Unveiled
The Motul booth also hosted the unveiling of the Peugeot Speedfight 4+ 150cc GP Edition, a MotoGP-inspired scooter limited to 50 units in Malaysia.
The special edition highlights Motul’s role as the official lubricant partner of Peugeot Motocycles in Malaysia, bringing together the two brands’ involvement in motorcycle performance and mobility.

CarTok Editor’s Note:
Motorsport is a powerful showcase for lubricant technology, but the real value to everyday riders is in how that expertise translates to their motorcycles. A racing lubricant and a scooter oil serve very different purposes, even if both benefit from the same commitment to performance and protection.
Motul’s presence at Sepang is more meaningful when it is able to connect its racing heritage with practical products and experiences that Malaysian riders can relate to.
