Bermaz XPENG Sdn Bhd has announced that the XPENG G6 Ultra Smart Coupe SUV is now locally assembled (CKD) in Malaysia, marking the next stage of the brand’s expansion in the local market.
The locally assembled G6 is available in three variants — Standard Range, Long Range, and AWD Performance — with bookings now open ahead of customer deliveries scheduled to begin in August 2026.
Notably, Bermaz XPENG has retained the same pricing as the imported model despite the shift to local assembly.
Assembled In Melaka
The XPENG G6 is assembled at EP Manufacturing Berhad’s (EPMB) facility in Melaka.
According to Bermaz Auto Group Chief Executive Officer Dato’ Sri Francis Lee, local assembly reflects XPENG’s commitment to supporting Malaysia’s growing EV industry while making advanced electric mobility more accessible to Malaysian buyers.
He added that the company is maintaining competitive pricing while offering additional ownership benefits to customers.
Three Variants, Same Pricing
The locally assembled XPENG G6 lineup is priced as follows:
- G6 Standard Range – RM158,888
- G6 Long Range – RM178,888
- G6 AWD Performance – RM189,888
800V Fast Charging Retained
The CKD G6 continues to be built on XPENG’s SEPA 2.0 architecture, retaining the same core technology as the imported model.
A key highlight remains its 800V high-voltage electrical architecture, enabling DC fast charging from 10% to 80% in just 12 minutes, making it one of the fastest-charging EVs available in Malaysia.
XPENG says the vehicle also features energy management calibrated for real-world Malaysian driving conditions.
XPILOT Driver Assistance Standard Across The Range
All three variants come equipped with XPILOT Assist as standard.
The suite includes:
- Adaptive Cruise Control
- Lane Centering Control
- Autonomous Parking Assist
XPENG says improvements to the system’s processing capabilities deliver smoother and more natural driver assistance during everyday driving.
Limited-Time Ownership Package
Customers who book the locally assembled XPENG G6 will also receive a limited-time ownership package comprising:
- Complimentary wallbox charger worth RM5,000
- Insurance support of up to RM5,000
Bookings are now open at authorised Bermaz XPENG dealerships nationwide, with first deliveries expected to commence in August 2026.
