PUSPAKOM Hosts “Menyingkap Nilai, Menyemai Integriti” Iftar, Previews Raya Brand Film on Ethics in Vehicle Inspection

PUSPAKOM Sdn Bhd hosted a Ramadan appreciation iftar event themed “Menyingkap Nilai, Menyemai Integriti”, bringing together members of the media and children from Rumah Kebajikan dan Bimbingan At-Taqwa for an evening focused on integrity, community outreach, and road safety awareness.

The event also featured an exclusive preview of PUSPAKOM’s upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri brand film, Inspection Hati Aidil: Lumpur, which continues the organisation’s storytelling campaign highlighting ethical responsibility in vehicle inspection.

Raya Brand Film Continues Integrity Narrative

The short film tells the story of Faizal, a former vehicle examiner whose past ethical decisions ultimately lead to life-changing consequences for those closest to him. Through its narrative, the film explores the difficult moral choices faced by vehicle examiners and the broader impact those decisions can have on road safety.

Inspection Hati Aidil: Lumpur builds on the Inspection Hati Aidil web series introduced in 2025, as well as the earlier festive brand film Inspection Hati Aidil: Ride of Integrity, released during the Chinese New Year period.

The Raya instalment emphasises how integrity in vehicle inspection plays a direct role in ensuring that unsafe vehicles are kept off Malaysian roads.

The film also carries additional significance as one of the final creative works of the late Mohd Ezendy Mohd Aziz, popularly known as “Along”, a respected Malaysian creative talent who helped bring the project to life.

PUSPAKOM Chief Executive Officer Mahmood Razak Bahman said storytelling can be a powerful way to communicate the deeper values behind the organisation’s work.

“Stories such as Inspection Hati Aidil: Lumpur reflect the realities faced by our vehicle examiners, the ethical choices they must make and the responsibility they carry in ensuring vehicles are safe for the road,” he said.

“Lumpur symbolises the stain of corruption that can harm individuals, institutions and society. This is precisely why PUSPAKOM maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward bribery. Every inspection conducted with transparency and integrity contributes directly to safer roads for all Malaysians.”

The film will be released across PUSPAKOM’s digital platforms starting 13 March 2026, ahead of the Hari Raya festive travel season (https://www.youtube.com/@puspakomofficial; https://www.facebook.com/puspakomofficial).

Media Dialogue on Ethics and Storytelling

The iftar event also featured a panel discussion and media Q&A session with the cast and creative team behind the film.

Participants included actor Zahiril Adzim and Executive Producer Fairil Khalil.

They were joined by Mahmood Razak Bahman and PUSPAKOM Head of Integrity and Compliance Management Azman Ismail, who shared perspectives on ethical responsibility in vehicle inspection and how storytelling can help communicate road safety awareness to the public.

The brand film forms part of PUSPAKOM’s broader #MacamBaharu communications initiative, which uses culturally resonant storytelling to reinforce the organisation’s commitment to integrity, transparency, and accountability.

Ramadhan Community Outreach

In conjunction with the Ramadhan month, PUSPAKOM also organised several community-focused initiatives.

This included the distribution of bubur lambuk at its Klang Valley branches, where the traditional Ramadan dish was shared with both staff and customers.

The company also brought a group of children from Pertubuhan Kebajikan dan Bimbingan At-Taqwa on a special outing to purchase Baju Raya at the House of Ariani, giving them the opportunity to prepare for the upcoming festive celebration.

According to Mahmood, such outreach programmes reflect the organisation’s belief that integrity should extend beyond internal processes to the communities it serves.

“Integrity must be practiced not only within our organisation but also in how we serve and engage with the public. By fostering transparency and accountability in our processes, we strengthen trust and contribute to a safer road ecosystem for everyone,” he added.

Vehicle inspections rarely get much attention—until something goes wrong. PUSPAKOM’s storytelling approach is an interesting reminder that behind every inspection result is a human decision, and those decisions ultimately shape how safe Malaysia’s roads really are.
