Isuzu Malaysia’s ‘Truck for Life’ Blood Donation Campaign Draws Nearly 1,000 Participants

Isuzu Malaysia Sdn Bhd (IMSB) concluded its nationwide ‘Truck for Life 2026 Blood Donation Campaign’ with close to 1,000 employees, customers and members of the public taking part in the three-month initiative.
This campaign was organised as part of IMSB’s wider corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts to support the National Blood Centre and local hospitals in maintaining blood supply reserves for life-saving medical situations.
The campaign recorded participation across 16 locations at IMSB’s dealership centres in Peninsular Malaysia and East Malaysia. Approximately 80% of participants successfully donated blood, according to the company.

Nationwide Blood Donation Drive
The ‘Truck for Life’ campaign began with a blood donation drive at IMSB’s headquarters in Damansara Uptown, Petaling Jaya, before travelling across the country over the following three months.
The mobile campaign provided customers, dealership employees, business partners and members of the public with convenient opportunities to donate blood at locations within IMSB’s dealership network.
According to Isuzu Malaysia, the initiative was aimed not only at supporting existing blood supply needs but also at raising awareness of the importance of regular blood donation among Malaysians.
IMSB Chief Operating Officer Masashi Nuijima thanked those who participated in the campaign and highlighted the direct contribution blood donors make to patients requiring medical treatment.
“On behalf of IMSB, we would like to sincerely thank every single person who has displayed compassion by participating as donor in this ‘Truck for Life’ blood donation drive. Every drop of donated blood is a precious gift for the treatment and extension of the lives of others and we are truly grateful for making this campaign a successful one. It is a privilege to know that our collective efforts will help to sustain the blood supply of the National Blood Centre and local hospitals in sustaining blood supply reserves for life-saving medical situations.”
Nuijima added that the campaign forms part of Isuzu Malaysia’s broader environmental, social and governance (ESG) efforts and reflects the company’s focus on contributing to the communities in which it operates.
“This blood donation campaign is an important effort under our multifaceted CSR initiatives that go beyond our core business environment. It did not only reflect a holistic approach towards our ESG commitment, but also strengthens it as it is very much aligned with Isuzu Group’s wider purpose of sustainability and bettering the lives of communities.”
Linking The Trucking Industry To Community Welfare
Nuijima said the campaign was also intended to make blood donation more accessible while encouraging more Malaysians to contribute to a life-saving healthcare initiative.
He drew a parallel between the role of the trucking industry in supporting economic activity and the importance of adequate blood supplies in supporting healthcare.
“The trucking industry has often been called as the life-blood of the economy. Without it, societies will not grow as commercial activities and developments would be at standstill. Likewise, for the meaningful cause that our ‘Truck for Life’ campaign supports, without sufficient blood supply for hospitals and patients across the country, life-saving efforts would be in a very critical situation and this is a scenario we do not wish to happen. ‘Truck for Life’ has also helped in creating a bigger widespread of awareness amongst Malaysians about the importance and benevolence of donating blood and saving lives, and this is also an important achievement to us.”
With close to 1,000 participants and around four in five successfully completing a blood donation, IMSB said the campaign demonstrated strong support from its wider community while contributing to blood supply needs across Malaysia.
CarTok Editor’s Note
Kudos to Isuzu Malaysia. Instead of holding a blood donation drive over one weekend, IMSB put in the effort to run it over three months and across 16 dealership locations in Peninsular Malaysia and East Malaysia, bringing the donation process closer to its network of employees, customers, partners and the public.
For a campaign conducted through a dealership network, using that footprint to facilitate something with direct and practical benefits beyond the company itself looks like a success.
