OMODA | JAECOO Malaysia Strengthens Aftersales Support Through Technical Skills Competition 2026

OMODA | JAECOO Malaysia is investing in the technical capabilities of its aftersales workforce through a nationwide competition aimed at improving service quality, diagnostic skills and customer confidence.
The OMODA | JAECOO Technical Skills Competition 2026 brought together technicians from across the brand’s service network to test and develop their technical knowledge, diagnostic capabilities and repair skills through theoretical and practical assessments.

Held with the theme “Sharpening Skills, Shaping Futures”, the initiative was designed to recognise outstanding technical talent while encouraging continuous professional development as vehicle technologies become increasingly sophisticated.
Chris Tan, Head of OMODA | JAECOO Malaysia, said customer satisfaction remains central to the company’s approach, with the ownership experience extending beyond the initial vehicle purchase.
“Customer satisfaction is at the heart of what we do at OMODA | JAECOO. A great ownership experience does not end when the customer drives away from our showroom, it continues through every interaction with our after-sales team.
“We are continuously strengthening their knowledge and capabilities so that our customers can have greater confidence in the service and support they receive,” he said.
Strengthening Technical Expertise
As modern vehicles incorporate increasingly advanced technologies, technicians need to keep pace with changing systems, diagnostic procedures and repair requirements.
Competitions such as this provide an opportunity for technicians to sharpen their expertise while reinforcing the importance of safety and service quality across the aftersales network.
Beyond testing individual capabilities, it also highlighted the role of technical training and professional development in maintaining consistent service standards as the brand expands its presence in Malaysia.

56 Outlets Nationwide
OMODA | JAECOO Malaysia currently operates a nationwide dealer network comprising 56 outlets, providing sales and aftersales support across the country.
With this growing footprint, maintaining capable technical teams and consistent aftersales standards will be important in supporting customers throughout their vehicle ownership journey.
The Technical Skills Competition 2026 is part of OMODA | JAECOO Malaysia’s broader effort to strengthen its service capabilities, recognising that customer confidence depends not only on the vehicles themselves but also on the quality of support available after the sale.

CarTok Editor’s Note:
As vehicles become more technologically complex, having technicians who can diagnose problems accurately and carry out repairs properly becomes very important in supporting sales expansion.
Customers want reliable repairs, reasonable turnaround times and confidence that their vehicles are in capable hands for years to come.
OMODA | JAECOO’s technical competition is a positive step, but the its success will be in whether the skills developed translate into consistent service quality across its nationwide network.
