Proton e.MAS Impianku Contest Invites Malaysians To Design Their Dream EV

Proton e.MAS is inviting Malaysians to use artificial intelligence (AI) to design their dream electric vehicle (EV), with eight winners in its public contest set to receive personalised 3D-printed models of their creations.
Organised by PRO-NET, a wholly owned subsidiary of PROTON, the nationwide e.MAS Impianku (My Dream e.MAS) contest runs from 19 October to 30 November 2026. It is open to Malaysians aged 18 and above residing in the country.
The initiative allows participants to explore their ideas for future Proton e.MAS vehicles, from exterior designs to innovative features and technology, using generative AI platforms.
According to PRO-NET Chief Executive Officer Zhang Qiang, the campaign aims to give Malaysians a creative way to imagine their ideal EV while allowing the company to understand the designs and technologies consumers would like to see in future vehicles.

How To Enter The e.MAS Impianku Contest
Participants can enter by following four steps:
- Visit protonemasimpianku.com and select “Open Category” on the submission form.
- Copy the recommended AI prompt from the “How to Join” section.
- Customise the prompt and use a generative AI platform to create a dream e.MAS design.
- Upload the design to the campaign microsite and complete the submission form.
Participants may submit multiple designs but can enter only one contest category. All submissions must be original AI-generated creations and comply with the contest’s terms and conditions.
Entries close at 11.59pm on 30 November 2026.
All eligible public-category designs will be displayed in a digital gallery, where the public can vote for their favourites from 5 to 13 December 2026. The 20 designs receiving the highest number of votes will be shortlisted for final judging.
The eight winners will be announced at an official PRO-NET event in January 2027.
Eight Winners to Receive 3D-Printed Collectibles
The public contest offers two prize tiers:
- Three Grand Prizes: Each winner receives an approximately 10-inch 3D-printed model of their winning design.
- Five Elite Prizes: Each winner receives a miniature 3D-printed collectible of their design.
The models will turn the winners’ digital concepts into physical keepsakes.
University Students Can Win Cash Prizes
Proton e.MAS is also running the e.MAS Impianku University Students Edition to encourage young Malaysians to contribute their ideas for future electric mobility.
The university contest runs over the same period and is open to students aged 18 and above enrolled in recognised higher education institutions in Malaysia.
Students can enter by selecting “University Category” on the submission form, copying the recommended AI prompt, creating their design using a generative AI platform, and uploading the result with the completed form.
Unlike the public contest, university entries will be assessed entirely by a panel of judges, without public voting.
The prizes are:
- Grand Prize: RM1,000 cash
- Second Prize: RM600 cash
- Third Prize: RM400 cash
- 12 Creative Merit Awards: Exclusive Proton e.MAS merchandise for each winner
The university category offers 15 prizes, comprising three cash awards and 12 merchandise awards.
Proton e.MAS Expands Its EV Push
The campaign comes as Proton e.MAS continues to build its presence in Malaysia’s electric vehicle market, supported by its expanding product range, dealership network and ownership ecosystem.
PRO-NET cited the Proton e.MAS 5 as Malaysia’s No. 1 EV model in 2026 and the Proton e.MAS 7 PHEV as the country’s best-selling plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) in the same year.

The company said e.MAS Impianku is intended to make the conversation around future electric mobility more inclusive by giving Malaysians a platform to share their aspirations and ideas.
