11th HINO Total Support Contest 2025: Dealer Teams Face Off in Skills & Service Showdown Worth RM100k

Hino Motors Sales (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Hino Motors Limited Japan, brought together its best dealer talent last weekend for the 11th HINO Total Support (TS) Contest — an annual showcase designed to sharpen skills, celebrate teamwork and reinforce the company’s “Total Support” promise to customers.

Finalists from 11 authorised Hino dealers around the country, chosen after preliminary rounds held earlier this year, competed in five core categories: Sales Consultant, Service Advisor, Service Technician (Light Commercial Vehicles), Parts, and Customer Success Operation (CSO). The Total Support Contest tests practical know-how and people skills through a mix of theory assessments, role-play simulations and hands-on tasks that mirror real-world workshop and showroom challenges.

The contest is built as a dealer-development platform meant to strengthen competency across Hino’s nationwide network and to underline the brand’s two core values cited in the release — “Providing Best-fit Products” and “Total Support” to customers. Participants are evaluated not only on technical accuracy and speed, but also on communication, empathy and problem-solving — traits Hino says are essential for quality after-sales service.

Prizes for outstanding performance include cash incentives and an exclusive learning trip for selected winners. Together, the awards for this year’s contest are valued at nearly RM100,000, making the event both a skills summit and a celebration of dedication, continuous improvement and dealer excellence.

Hino described the Total Support Contest as a cornerstone of its dealer development programme in Malaysia. Since its inception, the initiative has given dealer staff a structured environment to demonstrate technical competence, customer-handling ability and parts-management know-how — all while fostering collaboration across teams and dealerships.

Through the annual contest, Hino Malaysia says it aims to keep raising service standards and to produce dealer personnel who can deliver professional, reliable and high-quality service to every Hino customer.
