Audi Q5 Launched In Malaysia With Advanced And Sportback S Line Variants, From RM352,990

PHS Automotive Malaysia (PHSAM) has launched the all-new third-generation Audi Q5 in Malaysia, with the Q5 Advanced and Q5 Sportback S line.
The Q5 Advanced is priced from RM352,990, while the more aggressively styled Q5 Sportback S line retails from RM421,990.
“This is progress you can see and progress you can feel. Two distinct variants, one shared promise: to be impressive, every single moment,” said Renate Noessler, Managing Director, PHSAM.
“It embodies our vision of progress and our commitment to delivering the very best in design, performance, and technology. We are confident that the new Q5 family will set a new benchmark in the premium SUV segment in Malaysia,” she continued.
Two Versions, Two Characters
The new Q5 line-up follows a familiar formula: one model aimed at buyers who want understated luxury and versatility, and another tuned for a more expressive, sportier presence.
The Q5 Advanced carries a cleaner SUV silhouette with sculpted contours, 19-inch 10-arm Aero wheels, and a more restrained front-end treatment. It is positioned as the more practical all-rounder in the range.
The Q5 Sportback S line, meanwhile, is the more dramatic of the two. It leans into the coupe-SUV look with a sweeping roofline, S line exterior detailing, 20-inch Audi Sport wheels, and red brake callipers.

Both variants are offered in metallic finishes including Grenadine Red, Mythos Black and Glacier White. The Sportback S line also adds Daytona Grey Pearl and District Green Metallic, while the Advanced gets Navarra Blue and Tambora Grey as extra colour choices.
2.0-litre TFSI Power With Different Outputs
Both versions use a 2.0-litre TFSI engine paired with a 7-speed S tronic dual-clutch transmission.
The Q5 Advanced produces 199PS and 340Nm, driving the front wheels. This is complemented by a comfort suspension set-up for a more relaxed demeanour.

The Q5 Sportback S line boosts output to 272PS and 400Nm, and comes with quattro all-wheel drive and S sport suspension for a more engaging drive. Audi says the setup is aimed at sharper handling and better traction in varied conditions.
Audi Drive Select is included on both variants, allowing drivers to adjust the car’s responses on the move.
Lighting, Tech And A Digital Cabin
Lighting is one of the stronger highlights of the new Q5. Both variants get Matrix LED headlights, digital light signatures, and LED rear lights pro. The Sportback S line goes a step further with a next-generation projection brake light for added rear visibility.
Inside, both versions feature Audi’s OLED MMI panoramic display, joined by an 11.9-inch Audi Virtual Cockpit Plus. The layout is clearly centred on the driver, but the cabin design still looks more premium than busy.

Connectivity is a major part of the package. Both versions get Audi Assistant with ChatGPT, enabling more natural voice interaction and real-time information access. Other features include Audi Connect, Digital Key, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a wireless charger with adaptive cooling. There are also fast Type C charging ports front and rear.
The Sportback S line gets a few extra touches, including a Head-up Display, front seat ventilation, and a Bang & Olufsen 3D Premium Sound System with Fraunhofer Symphoria technology.

Everyday Practicality
Even with the sportier body shape of the Sportback, Audi has not stripped away the everyday usefulness that buyers in this segment expect.
The Q5 Advanced offers 520 litres of boot space, expanding to 1,473 litres with the rear seats folded. The Q5 Sportback S line provides 515 litres, extending to 1,415 litres with the rear seats down. Both variants also get a hands-free tailgate opening function.
For comfort, the Advanced uses Lime Sediment Natural inlays and is fitted with a calmer, more restrained interior theme. The Sportback S line adds Carbon Micro Twill inlays, a flat-bottom S line steering wheel, and sport seats with more pronounced side bolsters.

Safety And Ownership
Safety equipment includes Audi Pre Sense, Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Monitoring with Exit Warning, Lane Departure Warning, Surround View 360° cameras, and Rear Occupant Detection.
Ownership is backed by a structured aftersales package. Every new Q5 comes with a 2-year manufacturer’s warranty with unlimited mileage, plus 5 years of complimentary maintenance and 5 years of roadside assistance.
Audi also offers the Audi Assurance Package (AAP), which extends warranty coverage to 5 years or 150,000km, whichever comes first, along with 5 years or 75,000km of maintenance service and roadside assistance.

CarTok Editor’s Note
The new Q5 range gives Audi Malaysia two different options in one familiar nameplate. The Advanced is the more practical and restrained pick, while the Sportback S line is the one for buyers who want stronger performance and a more assertive look.
In the premium SUV segment where buyers are spoiled for choice, the Q5’s job is not just to look newer, it has to justify itself on design, tech, and ownership value too. This is where brand strength will be tested against rivals that are pushing more for the money.
