Mercedes-Benz Malaysia Launches Locally-Assembled Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 4MATIC Coupé Nightfall Edition From RM518,888

Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 4MATIC Coupé Nightfall Edition is officially launched in Malaysia, and introduces a darker and more aggressive interpretation of the AMG performance SUV coupé.

Locally assembled in Malaysia, the new Nightfall Edition becomes the second Nightfall Edition model introduced by Mercedes-Benz Malaysia following the earlier GLA Nightfall Edition.

Priced at RM518,888 on-the-road without insurance for Peninsular Malaysia, the AMG GLC 43 Coupé Nightfall Edition also comes with an Agility+ financing plan starting from RM6,688 per month.

According to Mercedes-Benz Cars Malaysia CEO and President, Martin Schulz, the latest Nightfall Edition reflects the company’s effort to broaden its product offering for customers seeking a sportier AMG ownership experience.

Meanwhile, Vice President of Marketing & Sales, Nadia Trimmel, said the Nightfall Edition focuses on elevating the emotional and visual appeal of the AMG GLC Coupé through exclusive styling elements and a more engaging driving experience.

AMG Night Package Exterior II Brings Dark Chrome Details

The Nightfall Edition builds further on the existing AMG Exterior Night Package by adding the AMG Night Package Exterior II.

Dark chrome detailing can be found across several exterior elements including the radiator grille slats, rear badging, fender model designation, and rear Mercedes star. Mercedes-Benz says the package is designed to create a stronger road presence while enhancing exclusivity.

Another distinguishing feature is the AMG fuel filler cap finished in silver chrome with AMG lettering and black accents.

The SUV coupé also comes fitted with 21-inch AMG Y-spoke light-alloy wheels paired with silver-painted brake callipers, while DIGITAL LIGHT headlamps provide adaptive illumination depending on surrounding traffic and road conditions.

421 HP Mild-Hybrid AMG Powertrain

Powering the new AMG GLC 43 Coupé Nightfall Edition is a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine developed under AMG’s “One Man, One Engine” philosophy in Affalterbach.

The electrified mild-hybrid setup produces 421 hp and 500 Nm of torque, with an additional 14 hp boost supplied temporarily by the second-generation belt-driven starter generator (RSG).

Performance figures remain properly AMG-worthy, with the SUV capable of sprinting from 0-100 km/h in 4.5 seconds before reaching an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h.

Mercedes-AMG has also equipped the model with rear-axle steering of up to 2.5 degrees to improve agility at lower speeds while enhancing stability during higher-speed driving. Another key feature exclusive to this edition is AMG Real Performance Sound, allowing drivers to adjust the engine soundtrack between BALANCED and POWERFUL modes via the touchscreen or dedicated controls.

Familiar AMG Cabin With Performance-Focused Features

Inside, the Nightfall Edition retains the familiar AMG-focused cabin layout with AMG sport seats upholstered in ARTICO man-made leather, AMG carbon-fibre trim, and an AMG Performance steering wheel wrapped in nappa leather.

The MBUX infotainment system includes AMG-specific displays and functions, while the Burmester 3D surround sound system handles in-car audio duties.

CarTok Editor’s Note

The interesting thing about AMG’s newer generation models is how much of the performance experience now comes from software calibration, hybrid assistance, sound engineering, and chassis electronics working together rather than relying purely on engine displacement.

A 2.0-litre four-cylinder AMG SUV making over 420 hp would have sounded absurd not too long ago. Today, it feels almost normal. The Nightfall Edition itself may largely focus on styling and emotional appeal, but it also reflects where modern performance cars are heading: faster, more digital engineering, and increasingly designed around sensory experience as much as outright speed.
