UD Trucks Expands Network With New 3S Dealership In Nilai, Negri Sembilan

UD Trucks and sole distributor Tan Chong Industrial Equipment Sdn Bhd (TCIE) have expanded their presence in Peninsular Malaysia with the opening of a new 3S (Sales, Service and Spare Parts) dealership centre in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan.
The new facility, operated by Soon Seng Automobile Sdn Bhd, is located at Lot 109, Jalan Platinum 5/5, Pusat Perdagangan Nilai Impian, and is designed to support the growing number of commercial vehicle operators serving one of the country’s key logistics and industrial corridors.

Strengthening Support In A Growing Logistics Hub
Nilai has evolved into an important logistics and industrial centre due to its proximity to Kuala Lumpur, Port Klang, Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) and major expressway networks. The area has attracted a growing concentration of warehousing, distribution and manufacturing activities, increasing demand for reliable commercial vehicle support services.
According to UD Trucks Region Director for Southeast Asia and East Asia, Keiichiro Ochiai, the new dealership reflects the company’s commitment to bringing its products and services closer to customers. “We are proud to welcome Soon Seng Automobile into our growing dealership network. The opening of this new 3S center reflects UD Trucks’ continuous mission to provide high-quality, innovative commercial vehicles that fleet operators and businesses demand today.
“We are fully committed to our role as an innovation leader in the transport world, and we take pride in being a valued partner driving productivity for our customers and better life for societies,” he said.

Nearly Five Decades Of Industry Experience
Soon Seng Automobile Director Edmund Chan said the partnership represents a significant milestone for the company, which has served Malaysia’s transport industry since 1978.
“Soon Seng Automobile was established in 1978 and for nearly 50 years, we have been dedicated to serving the Malaysian transport industry. This new dealership marks another new and significant chapter in our company’s journey. We look forward to bringing our collective strengths to keep our customers’ businesses moving through the supply of UD Trucks’ smart logistics and reliable aftermarket support,” he said.

Full Sales, Service And Parts Support
The new facility offers UD Trucks’ complete commercial vehicle lineup, including the light-duty Kuzer, medium-duty Croner and heavy-duty Quester ranges.
It is equipped with four service bays, specialised diagnostic equipment and a full inventory of genuine UD Trucks parts to support maintenance and repair requirements.
Customers will also have access to UD Extra Mile Services, which include genuine parts support, service agreements and 24/7 roadside assistance aimed at maximising vehicle uptime.

Vehicle Handover Marks Opening
To mark the opening, UD Trucks and TCIE also handed over new vehicles to two customers.
Logisteed Malaysia Sdn Bhd, an existing UD Trucks customer providing logistics services, took delivery of three UD Quester trucks.
Meanwhile, LLC Infra Sdn Bhd, an engineering and construction development company, received two UD Croner trucks as a new customer to the brand.
TCIE Chief Operating Officer Loh Thim Choy said Nilai was a strategic location for further dealer network expansion.
“TCIE is glad to have Soon Seng Automobile as the partner of choice in our quest to further expand our UD Trucks dealer network. Being close to our customers is very important and the industrial area of Nilai is efficiently supported by excellent highway connectivity and surrounding commercial developments. Through this new 3S center and our shared passion for quality, service excellence and customer satisfaction, we anticipate strong growth potential from new and existing client relationships,” he said.

CarTok Editor’s Note
In the commercial vehicle business, selling a truck is only half the job. The real competition increasingly revolves around uptime, parts availability and service response times. As fleet operators face tighter delivery schedules and rising operating costs, strategically located service centres like this one in Nilai can have a greater impact on profitability. For truck manufacturers, expanding the aftersales network is often the clearest signal that they expect long-term demand to keep moving.
