Shell Malaysia Launches New Shell Recharge App For EV — ParkEasy to be Discontinued End November

Shell Malaysia has officially launched the Shell Recharge App, marking a major step forward in simplifying EV charging across the country. Designed to deliver a smoother, more secure and more reliable EV ownership experience, the new app will now serve as the central platform for locating, reserving, and paying for charging at Shell Recharge stations nationwide.
This upgrade comes with an important change:
✅ The ParkEasy app will be disabled and discontinued by end-November 2025.
✅ All existing ParkEasy users must migrate to the new Shell Recharge App to continue using Shell’s EV charging network.
This is a key transition for EV drivers, and Shell is urging users to make the switch early to avoid service disruptions.

What’s New: Features of the Shell Recharge App
Shell says the new app brings an improved digital EV charging experience, complete with:
- Quick Payments — Link debit or credit cards for fast, seamless checkout.
- Reserve & Recharge — Book a charger in advance and guarantee availability.
- Cross-Border Roaming — Access Shell Recharge chargers in both Malaysia and Singapore via the same app.
- Live Charging Updates — Track charging sessions in real time.
- Find a Charger Easily — Locate nearby Shell Recharge stations with an integrated site locator.
The app builds upon Shell’s fast-growing charging network, which already includes Malaysia’s first North–South and East Coast–West Coast HPC corridor, along with the highest-altitude EV charging hub at Genting Highlands — all designed to support long-distance travel and improve charging confidence nationwide.

Shell’s Commitment to Smarter, Seamless EV Mobility
Seow Lee Ming, General Manager, Shell Mobility & Convenience Malaysia:

With the new Shell Recharge App, we are powering progress further by enabling an easier, smoother, and more seamless journey so that customers have confidence to go further with Shell. It also reinforces Shell’s commitment to advancing Malaysia’s energy transition, while supporting the growing community of EV drivers.”

Launch Day Promo: RM1.11/kWh on 11 November
To celebrate the rollout, all Shell Recharge App users will enjoy a special RM1.11 per kWh rate on 11 November 2025 at every Shell Recharge HPC site in Malaysia. (T&Cs apply.)
The Shell Recharge App is available now on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
Old app out, new app in — EV drivers, this is your cue to migrate before your next charge turns into a surprise “cannot connect” moment. On a side note, Shell mentioned that there are plans for further integration of its apps in the future which currently are split for fuels and electric vehicles.
