Nexen Tire Launches N’Blue S And N’Fera Primus UX In Malaysia

Nexen Tire has introduced two new tyre models in Malaysia, the N’Blue S and N’Fera Primus UX, with a focus on improved wet-weather traction, driving stability and safety on local roads.
Both models are designed for Malaysia’s tropical climate, where heavy rainfall, high temperatures and long-distance highway driving place different demands on tyres.

The launch comes ahead of the year-end monsoon season, with the brand highlighting the importance of choosing suitable tyres to maintain vehicle control, particularly on wet roads.
Nexen Tire Malaysia stated that both the N’Blue S and N’Fera Primus UX are developed for electric vehicles (EVs) as well as internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles.
They carry Nexen Tire’s “EV Root” mark, which identifies tyres engineered to accommodate the additional weight and instant torque associated with EVs. This means motorists do not necessarily need a separate EV-specific version when choosing between the two ranges.

N’Blue S Focuses On Wet-Weather Performance
The N’Blue S is a touring tyre developed to provide better control in wet driving conditions.
Its tread design channels water away from the tyre’s contact patch to reduce the risk of aquaplaning, which occurs when a layer of water builds up between the tyre and road surface, reducing grip.
The tyre also features a low rolling resistance construction aimed at helping to reduce fuel consumption.
NEXEN TIRE says the N’Blue S is supplied as original equipment (OE) on selected vehicles, including the Volkswagen Golf and Audi A3.
In Malaysia, it is available in 110 sizes, covering rim diameters from 14 to 17 inches.

N’Fera Primus UX Offers Greater Highway Stability
For drivers looking for a more performance-oriented option, the N’Fera Primus UX is an ultra-high-performance tyre featuring reinforced construction to improve stability, particularly during highway driving.
It is also claimed to deliver approximately 20% better tread wear compared with its predecessor.
Under Nexen Tire’s One Universal Fit strategy, the N’Fera Primus UX is designed to accommodate a wide range of vehicle makes, including European, Japanese, South Korean and Chinese brands.
This approach allows the tyre range to serve different vehicle applications without being restricted to a particular manufacturer or market segment.

Six-Month Tyre Exchange Programme
Both new tyre ranges are covered by the Nexen Tire Exchange Programme, which provides an unconditional one-to-one replacement within six months for eligible road hazard damage.
The programme is available through participating distributors. Customers must register their tyres at the point of purchase to qualify.
Nexen Tire Malaysia is also developing its own mobile application and warranty programme to strengthen aftersales support for local customers. The company will share further details at a later date.
Founded in 1942, Nexen Tire is a South Korean tyre manufacturer with more than 80 years of manufacturing and research and development experience. Its products are distributed in more than 150 countries, supported by four production facilities in South Korea, China and the Czech Republic.

CarTok Editor’s Note
Tyres are considered the most important safety component on a vehicle as they are the only contact point of a vehicle to the road. Yet they are often overlooked until replacement becomes unavoidable.
For Malaysian motorists, wet-weather performance is especially important. A tyre that can channel water effectively is useful during downpours. But drivers should also remember that no tread design can overcome excessive speed, standing floodwater or worn-out tyres.
Nexen Tire’s decision to make its tyres EV compatible is also sensible as it reduces market confusion and logistical challenges.
Ultimately, it really is about how these tyres perform in local driving conditions, how competitively they are priced and how accessible replacement sizes are. The six-month exchange programme is a welcome addition, although you should check the eligibility conditions before making a purchase.
