Over 205,000 Visitors Attended KLIMS 2026

The 11th edition of the Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show (KLIMS) 2026 attracted 205,440 visitors during its 10-day run at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC), underscoring continued public interest in Malaysia’s evolving automotive and mobility landscape.

Organised by the Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA), KLIMS 2026 carried the theme “Beyond Mobility”, bringing together leading automotive brands, emerging mobility technologies and lifestyle experiences under one roof.

Strong Line-up Of Automotive Brands

Spread across seven exhibition halls, the show featured a diverse mix of vehicle manufacturers including Dongfeng, GWM, Honda, Hyundai, Jetour, Kia, Maxus, Mazda, MG Motor, Nissan, Perodua, Proton, Proton e.MAS, smart, Toyota, Wuling, XPENG and Zeekr, alongside motorcycle brands AFAZ and Suzuki.

According to the organisers, exhibitors also reported encouraging commercial interest throughout the exhibition, while interactive activities such as the Experience The Drive test drive programme and the Urban Play obstacle course drew strong visitor participation. Car club gatherings also remained a popular attraction, bringing together enthusiasts from across the country.

Platform For Launches And Previews

KLIMS 2026 served as the stage for numerous Malaysian debuts, production launches and concept vehicle previews that highlighted the industry’s shift towards electrification and intelligent mobility.

Among Proton’s highlights were the locally assembled e.MAS 5 and the flagship e.MAS 7 Premium Plus, while Honda unveiled the long-awaited Prelude hybrid coupe for the Malaysian market.

Hyundai showcased the Ioniq 5 N and Ioniq 6 N, introducing its high-performance N brand locally alongside the new Stargazer MPV.

Mazda expanded its SUV portfolio with the CX-60 MHEV, while MG Motor introduced the ZS Hybrid+ and all-electric Cyberster roadster. Jetour also launched the T2 i-DM plug-in hybrid SUV together with a display of the G700 SUV.

Several concept vehicles and technology showcases also attracted significant attention throughout the exhibition.

Perodua meanwhile previewed its C2 Concept electric sedan alongside the QV-E G+ Edition, while Toyota presented an electrified Corolla concept. Proton displayed its FutureMotion HEV powertrain, XPENG showcased the futuristic X2 flying car, and Dongfeng previewed the premium Voyah Dream MPV.

Visitors also had an early look at several upcoming models, including Zeekr’s 9X SUV and 009 Grand MPV, TQ Wuling’s Huajing S, Kia’s upcoming EV4, EV5, PV5 and K4, GWM’s Ora 5 HEV and Haval Raptor, Nissan’s facelifted X-Trail e-Power, as well as Dongfeng’s 008 EV SUV and M-Hero II PHEV.

More Than Just Cars

Beyond vehicle displays, KLIMS 2026 combined automotive exhibits with entertainment and community activities.

Visitors enjoyed performances by Malaysian artistes including Ella, Anuar Zain, Lah Ahmad, FUGŌ and Kyoto Protocol, while the show’s first collaboration with RIUH brought together local creative entrepreneurs and hobby communities through a curated marketplace.

Other attractions included drumline performances, fusion dance showcases, a live recording of The Overdrive Session Automotive Podcast, race car simulators, remote-control car experiences and the KLIMS Modified Car Battle.

Lucky Draw Worth RM125,000

The event also featured lucky draw prizes worth a combined RM125,000, with Foo Yan Ling taking home the grand prize — a Perodua Bezza AV sponsored by Perodua.

KLIMS 2026 also introduced the inaugural KLIMS Creator Award in collaboration with GoFluence, recognising content creators who helped showcase the event online. Five award categories were presented, with each winner receiving RM1,000 in cash.

MAA President Mohd Shamsor Bin Mohd Zain said the strong response from exhibitors and visitors reflected the automotive industry’s continued transformation towards electrification, innovation and smarter mobility solutions.

Beyond showcasing the latest vehicles and technologies, KLIMS has evolved into a comprehensive mobility platform that brings together the entire automotive ecosystem to foster collaboration, accelerate innovation and support Malaysia’s transition towards a safer, cleaner and more sustainable mobility future.”

With more than 205,000 visitors attending this year’s edition, KLIMS continues to reinforce its role as one of Malaysia’s largest automotive exhibitions, providing manufacturers with a platform to introduce new products while giving consumers a closer look at the technologies shaping the future of mobility.
