Toyota Malaysia Pickle Tour 2026 Brings Pickleball Across Five States With RM175,000 Prize Pool

Toyota may be best known for building cars, but this time it’s bringing people together on the pickleball court instead.
UMW Toyota Motor has announced the Toyota Malaysia Pickle Tour 2026, a nationwide five-stop community tour that will travel across Sarawak, Sabah, Johor, Penang and the Klang Valley from August to September 2026.
Carrying a total prize pool of RM175,000, the tour aims to make one of Malaysia’s fastest-growing sports more accessible while encouraging active lifestyles and community engagement.

A Different Kind of Team Competition
Held under the theme “Solo Entry. Team Glory.”, the tournament introduces a team-based format with an interesting twist. Participants register individually instead of forming their own teams, with the organisers grouping players together before the competition begins.
The format is designed to encourage teamwork, create new friendships and make the competition more inclusive, regardless of whether participants already have regular playing partners.
According to UMW Toyota Motor President Datuk Ravindran K.:
“At UMW Toyota Motor, Mobility for All is about widening access to experiences that move people forward, physically, socially and emotionally. The Toyota Malaysia Pickle Tour 2026 gives this belief a strong community expression, with a five-stop footprint that reaches players and families across both East and West Malaysia. By taking pickleball beyond a single centre of activity, we hope to open the court to more Malaysians and create an experience built on confidence, team spirit and the shared happiness of playing together.”

CarTok Editor’s Note
Some automakers make the choice of investing in communities beyond the showroom, and sport is one of the most effective ways to build those connections. For Toyota, supporting a nationwide pickleball tour isn’t about selling the next car — it’s about keeping the brand visible where Malaysians live, play and spend time together. As lifestyle sports continue to grow, don’t be surprised if more automotive brands step onto the court as well.
