Thunder Custom was at Art of Speed (AOS) 2026 last weekend with a stronger presence, using Malaysia’s premier custom and lifestyle automotive festival to showcase its growing commitment to the local custom motorcycle scene.
Having officially launched the Thunder LS250-S in Malaysia earlier this year, the Japanese-inspired custom motorcycle brand used this year’s event to announce an official collaboration with Art of Speed Malaysia, while reaffirming plans to expand its nationwide dealer network.
Distributed locally by Bike Continent Sdn Bhd and imported by Mofaz Motosikal Sdn Bhd, Thunder Custom was founded in 2020 by renowned Japanese custom builder Noro Yuji and Chinese custom specialist Ka-san. The brand focuses on factory-built motorcycles that deliver authentic bobber styling without requiring expensive aftermarket modifications.

Collaboration With Art of Speed
A key highlight at AOS 2026 was Thunder Custom’s strategic partnership with Art of Speed Malaysia.
The collaboration was announced by Art of Speed founder and festival director Asep Ahmad Iskandar together with Bike Continent managing director Ronnie Chen.
To celebrate the partnership, the Art of Speed team created a one-off customised Thunder LS250-S, which will be presented as the grand prize for the festival’s popular Kembara Passport activity.

Dealer Network Continues To Grow
Bike Continent said Thunder Custom already has seven authorised dealerships operating across Malaysia, providing motorcycle sales, genuine spare parts, servicing and aftersales support.
The company also confirmed plans to appoint additional dealers in the coming months as it works to strengthen nationwide coverage and improve ownership support.
For now, the LS250-S remains the centrepiece of the brand’s Malaysian lineup, combining classic bobber styling with factory-built reliability.
Thunder LS250-S Highlights
The LS250-S comes equipped with several signature features, including:
- 74-style springer front fork
- Handmade performance exhaust
- Custom-built frame
- Oversized rear sprocket
- Wire-spoke wheels with Shinko saw-tooth tyres
- Classic bobber styling featuring a peanut fuel tank and solo seat
The company has yet to announce additional models for the Malaysian market.
“Our goal is not simply to introduce another motorcycle brand to Malaysia, but to build a vibrant community around the Thunder lifestyle. By expanding our dealership network and strengthening our after-sales support, we want every rider across Malaysia to enjoy easy access to own, service, and experience Thunder Motorcycles with complete confidence,” said Ronnie Chen, managing director of Bike Continent Sdn Bhd.

CarTok Editor’s Note
Art of Speed has evolved into more than a showcase for custom builds. It has become an important marketing platform for brands targeting Malaysia’s lifestyle motoring and riding community.
Instead of introducing a new model at the show, Thunder Custom’s focus was on building its brand presence. The collaboration with Art of Speed, expansion of its dealer network and continued emphasis on ownership support suggest the company is shifting from launch mode to establishing a longer-term foothold in Malaysia’s growing custom motorcycle market.
