Kia Sales Malaysia Begins Operations with New Pricing, Loyalty and Ownership Strategy

It’s the new year, and it’s a new start for the Kia brand as Kia Sales Malaysia Sdn Bhd (KSM) officially start operations as its standalone National Sales Company in Malaysia, outlining a refreshed market strategy focused on competitive pricing, customer loyalty, aftersales confidence and long-term ownership value.

The move marks Kia’s effort to rebuild brand trust and strengthen market confidence, starting with a revised pricing structure across its existing product portfolio. Alongside this, KSM is rolling out a loyalty programme, Kia-branded insurance offering and corporate incentives aimed at both existing and new customers.

“The new year marks a new beginning for Kia. We are proud to officially begin our journey of rebuilding the Kia brand through a standalone National Sales Company in Malaysia. We wish to assure fans that Kia is here to stay, and our priority is taking care of customers and inspiring progress through our innovative mobility solutions,” pledged Kia Sales Malaysia Sdn Bhd President and CEO, Hyung Ho Kim.

Revised Pricing For Sportage And Carnival From January 2026

Effective 1 January 2026, Kia has adjusted pricing across its model range, with the Kia Sportage and Kia Carnival positioned more competitively within Malaysia’s SUV and MPV segments. The revised pricing sees the Kia Sportage now starting from RM128,800, with updated pricing applied across the entire Sportage and Carnival line-ups.

According to KSM, the pricing exercise is part of a broader effort to offer market-appropriate specifications and value.

“These first steps, which are to revamp our pricing strategy, recognise loyal Kia customers and incentivise corporate purchases, are all part of a concerted effort to answer the question, ‘Why Kia?’. Kia Sales Malaysia believes in right pricing our products. Buyers across Malaysia will now be able to enjoy the best vehicles suited for the market with the most appropriate specifications and features, offered at competitive prices. We welcome both legacy and new Kia fans to our showrooms to appreciate our range of vehicles, test drive them and be immersed in the new Kia experience,” explained Managing Director, Emily Lek.

Five-Year Warranty and Reduced Genuine Parts Pricing

In line with Kia’s global standards, all newly purchased Kia vehicles in Malaysia will continue to be covered by a five-year or 150,000km warranty, whichever comes first.

To further support long-term ownership, KSM has also implemented an average 15% price reduction on Kia genuine spare parts, positioning parts pricing more competitively within the market.

After-sales operations are supported by a dedicated parts warehouse in Shah Alam, Selangor, aimed at improving parts availability and reducing lead times nationwide.

Local assembly operations in Kulim, Kedah continue to be managed by Kia Malaysia Sdn Bhd.

Kia Circle Loyalty Programme And Corporate Incentives

As part of its ownership ecosystem, KSM has introduced Kia Circle, a loyalty programme designed to reward existing Kia owners. Under the programme, eligible owners can receive cash rebates of up to RM6,000 when upgrading to a new Kia vehicle. The benefit also extends to immediate family members, including parents, children and spouses.

For corporate and professional buyers, KSM has launched Kia Professional, offering concessions of up to 3% for members of professional bodies and major corporations on individual vehicle purchases. Customisable incentives are also available for larger fleet customers.

Kia Cares Insurance Programme

Complementing vehicle purchases through authorised Kia dealerships is the new Kia Cares insurance programme. Underwritten by Berjaya Sompo, Zurich and Zurich Takaful, the programme provides comprehensive coverage for accidental loss or damage.

Customers can also tailor coverage through optional add-ons, including all-driver coverage, agreed value for up to 15 years, waiver of betterment for up to 10 years, unlimited towing, full special perils coverage, accidental inconvenience allowances and personal accident coverage of up to RM100,000.

With revised pricing, lower parts costs and a clearer ownership proposition, Kia’s reset in Malaysia looks less about hype and more about rebuilding fundamentals — value, support and long-term confidence.
