BMW Group Malaysia Introduces iX1, and i5 – First Locally Assembled EV in Asia-Pacific
BMW Group Malaysia has marked a historic milestone with the locally assembled i5 eDrive40 M Sport Pro, the first BMW EV built in Asia-Pacific. Alongside it, the brand also introduced the new BMW iX1 eDrive20L M Sport, a long-wheelbase variant of its compact electric SUV. Together, the two models expand BMW’s premium EV offerings in Malaysia.
i5 eDrive40 M Sport Pro: Malaysia’s First Locally Assembled BMW EV
The BMW i5 eDrive40 M Sport Pro is an executive electric sedan designed for both business and private journeys. Locally assembled for the first time in Asia-Pacific, it showcases BMW’s fifth-generation eDrive technology.
