Mercedes-Benz Expands East Coast Presence With Largest Autohaus In Kuantan

Mercedes-Benz Malaysia together with Asbenz Stern Sdn Bhd has officially opened a new Mercedes-Benz Autohaus in Kuantan, further strengthening the brand’s presence in the East Coast region.
Located in Indera Mahkota, the new facility is now the largest Mercedes-Benz Autohaus on the East Coast, offering integrated sales, aftersales, body and paint, as well as EV charging services under one roof.
According to Mercedes-Benz Malaysia, the new Autohaus reflects the brand’s latest retail concept focused on creating a more seamless, digitalised and customer-centric ownership experience.

“Opening the new Asbenz Stern Kuantan Autohaus reflects our shared commitment to continuously elevating the Mercedes-Benz customer experience in the East Coast region. As we celebrate 140 years of innovation at Mercedes-Benz, we remain focused not only on advancing automotive excellence, but also on creating seamless and personalised experiences at every touchpoint. Together with Asbenz Stern, we are proud to bring our ‘Welcome Home’ philosophy to life through a modern and future-ready facility designed around the evolving needs of our customers,” said Martin Schulz, CEO & President, Mercedes-Benz Cars Malaysia & Head of Region, Mercedes-Benz Cars Southeast Asia.

Asbenz Stern Managing Director Goh Chuan Kiong said Kuantan remains an important market for the dealer group, with the new facility aimed at improving customer convenience and service capabilities in the region.
“Kuantan has always been an important location for us, and this new Autohaus marks the next step in our journey here. By investing in a purpose-built facility with expanded capabilities, including body and paint services, we are able to serve our customers more efficiently and comprehensively. Our commitment remains the same, to deliver the level of care and quality that our customers expect from Mercedes-Benz,” he said.
The Autohaus features 26,565 sq ft of showroom and customer space within a total built-up area of 65,340 sq ft. Up to six Mercedes-Benz models can be displayed at any one time, while customer facilities include the Star Lounge and Mercedes-Benz Lifestyle Collection area.

For aftersales operations, the facility is equipped with up to 16 work bays capable of handling routine servicing, diagnostics, repairs and body and paint work. All servicing is carried out by Mercedes-Benz trained and certified technicians.
Supporting the growing adoption of electrified vehicles, the Autohaus also features 120 kW DC fast charging capable of charging two vehicles simultaneously, catering to owners of Mercedes-Benz EVs and plug-in hybrid models.
To-date, Asbenz Stern has invested RM35 million across its dealership network, including RM23 million specifically for the new Kuantan Autohaus. The company now operates three Mercedes-Benz Autohauses across Kedah, Pahang and Terengganu.

Luxury dealerships have always been designed around lifestyle and relationship-driven ownership. What is changing now is how much emphasis is placed on convenience after the sale. EV charging, integrated body and paint services, digital touchpoints and larger aftersales capacity are just as important as the showroom itself. For East Coast owners especially, having these services available locally is likely to be the biggest benefit of all.
