Valvoline has launched its new Champ motorcycle engine oil range in Malaysia, introducing dedicated formulations for four-stroke motorcycles and scooters, from daily commuters to high-performance and long-distance riders.
Launched by Valvoline Global Operations, the expanded range is designed to address local riding conditions, including tropical temperatures, heavy traffic and frequent stop-start journeys.
The lineup includes fully synthetic, synthetic blend and conventional engine oils, with formulations tailored to different motorcycle types, engine requirements and riding habits.
For Different Riding Needs
Leading the range are two formulations for four-stroke motorcycles: the fully synthetic Champ 4T Ultra Racing 10W-50 and the Champ 4T Extra 15W-50.
The Champ 4T Ultra Racing 10W-50 features Power Booster Technology and is designed for high-performance riding and long-distance journeys. Valvoline claims it provides engine protection under high-temperature and high-speed conditions, alongside responsive acceleration and refined riding control.
Meanwhile, the Champ 4T Extra 15W-50 uses XTRA Clean Technology to help reduce engine deposits and maintain performance in stop-start urban traffic. Available in 1-litre packs, it is intended for riders seeking engine cleanliness and throttle response for daily use.
Both flagship formulations carry API SP and JASO MA2 certifications, according to Valvoline.
The standard four-stroke motorcycle range also includes the fully synthetic Champ 4T Ultra Racing 10W-40, as well as the synthetic blend Champ 4T Extra in 10W-40 and 15W-50 grades.
Completing the motorcycle lineup are Champ 4T Premium in 20W-40 and 20W-50, and Champ 4T in 20W-40, aimed at everyday riding and older four-stroke engines.

Dedicated Engine Oils For Scooters
Valvoline has also introduced a separate range for scooters, with formulations carrying JASO MB and API certifications.
At the top of this lineup is the fully synthetic Champ 4T Ultra Scooter 5W-40, supplied in a 0.8-litre pack. Equipped with Power Booster Technology, it is designed to support fuel efficiency, thermal protection and power delivery in newer gearless scooters.
For mid-generation gearless scooters, the Champ 4T Extra Scooter is available in 10W-30 and 10W-40 grades. Using XTRA Clean Technology, it is designed to help maintain engine cleanliness and smooth power delivery.
The Champ 4T Premium Scooter, also available in 10W-30 and 10W-40, completes the range with wear protection and performance intended for everyday short-distance riding.
Riders are advised to check their motorcycle or scooter manufacturer’s recommended oil viscosity and specifications before choosing a product, as not every formulation is suitable for every engine.
Valvoline Partners Vanli Group For Malaysian Distribution
Leong Tak Chuan, Cluster Manager for Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei at Valvoline Global Operations, said the new range reflects the company’s effort to adapt its lubrication technology to the needs of Malaysia’s two-wheeler market.
He highlighted the role motorcycles and scooters play in everyday mobility, from urban commuting to longer highway journeys, and said the range builds on Valvoline’s 160-year history in lubrication technology.
The products are distributed in Malaysia by Vanli Group, one of Valvoline’s authorised local distributors. They are now available through authorised workshops, retailers and service centres nationwide.
To mark the launch, Vanli Group contributed 1,000 bottles of Valvoline engine oil to Lalamove driver partners, extending the initiative to delivery riders who depend on their motorcycles for their daily income.
