JETOUR Malaysia is set to introduce the T2 i-DM plug-in hybrid (PHEV) to the Malaysian market on 19 September 2026, with the new electrified SUV making its official debut during the Malaysia Sarong Music Run 2026 at KLCC.
While the T2 is already part of JETOUR Malaysia’s local SUV line-up, the T2 i-DM represents a new powertrain option for the model and expands the brand’s electrified offering in Malaysia.

The launch will form part of JETOUR Malaysia’s participation in the Malaysia Sarong Music Run, following its involvement as Title Sponsor and Official Car Partner for the event’s 2025 edition.
The event will give visitors an opportunity to see the T2 i-DM ahead of its launch, alongside JETOUR’s existing models including the Dashing, VT9, T2 and T1.
T2 i-DM Takes Centre Stage At KLCC
JETOUR Malaysia will have booths at the Race Village KLCC and Pavilion Bukit Bintang, where visitors can explore the brand’s SUV range and preview the T2 i-DM.
The T2 i-DM is the plug-in hybrid version of JETOUR’s adventure-oriented T2, giving the model a different proposition from the existing T2 2.0TD XWD.
The new model is expected to be of particular interest to buyers considering an electrified vehicle but who may still want the flexibility of a petrol-powered drivetrain for longer journeys. The T2 i-DM pairs a 1.5-litre turbo Dedicated Hybrid Engine with dual motor system and 3-speed hybrid transmission. Combined power output is 265kW (355hp) and 610Nm. The 18.4kWh battery is claimed to help give a combined driving range of 1,200km (full tank of petrol and full battery charge).

JETOUR Malaysia has positioned the T2 i-DM launch around its Travel+ philosophy, which looks at travel as more than simply getting from one destination to another.
The company says the philosophy is intended to combine mobility with lifestyle and exploration, with its vehicles serving as companions for different types of journeys.
The T2 i-DM launch will take place on the main stage during the evening programme of the Malaysia Sarong Music Run.
The event will also feature a JETOUR Owners Convoy, bringing existing owners together as part of the Malaysia Day celebrations.
Beyond the automotive activities, the Malaysia Sarong Music Run 2026 will feature a drone show and live concert under the KLCC skyline.
Malaysia Day Promotions Across JETOUR Range
JETOUR Malaysia will also run special Malaysia Day promotions on selected models during the festive period.
The offers include:
- T1 1.5L TGDi 2WD – RM2,000 early-bird rebate for the first 2,000 registered customers
- T2 2.0TD XWD – RM2,000 rebate
- Dashing Prime – RM10,000 rebate
- VT9 Prime – RM15,000 rebate
All promotions are subject to terms and conditions.

For JETOUR Malaysia, the T2 i-DM launch adds an electrified dimension to a model already associated with travel and adventure, while giving Malaysian buyers another option as the market continues to broaden beyond conventional petrol-powered SUVs.
The new T2 i-DM will be one of the key attractions at the Malaysia Sarong Music Run 2026, ahead of its official arrival as the latest addition to JETOUR Malaysia’s range.
CarTok Editor’s Note
The T2 i-DM adds another dimension to JETOUR’s local line-up, putting a plug-in hybrid powertrain choice into an SUV that already has an established identity in Malaysia.
A PHEV occupies the middle ground, allowing owners to use electric driving where it makes sense while retaining petrol-powered capability for longer trips.
How popular this variant is will depend on how JETOUR positions it in terms of price, electric range, equipment, warranty and ownership support when full details are announced at launch.
The Sarong Music Run provides an appropriate lifestyle-oriented setting for the debut, but ultimately, it is the T2 i-DM’s proposition that will have to make its own case.
