Aside from the locally assembled KYMCO AK550 Premium, MODENAS also officially introduced the all-new Kawasaki Ninja 1100SX in Malaysia. This is positioned as the brand’s latest premium sport-touring flagship.
The Ninja 1100SX marks the fifth generation of Kawasaki’s long-running sport-touring platform. This model is targeted at riders seeking a balance between supersport performance and long-distance comfort, covering everything from highway touring and spirited weekend rides to daily commuting.
Power comes from a 1,099cc liquid-cooled, inline-four DOHC engine producing 100kW at 9,000rpm and 113Nm of torque at 7,600rpm. According to MODENAS, this setup is intended to deliver strong top-end performance while maintaining the flexibility of a touring-oriented motorcycle.
The Ninja 1100SX continues Kawasaki’s sport-touring approach with rider-focused ergonomics, adjustable windscreen heights, refined aerodynamics, and a design that prioritises comfort over long distances without losing its sporty character.
In terms of equipment, the Ninja 1100SX is fitted with a comprehensive suite of electronic rider aids, including Kawasaki Cornering Management Function (KCMF), Kawasaki Traction Control (KTRC), ABS, selectable Power Modes, and Riding Modes. Chassis duties are handled by an aluminium twin-tube frame, paired with a 41mm adjustable inverted front fork and a gas-charged back-link rear shock.
Braking is managed by dual semi-floating 300mm front discs and a 250mm rear disc. Other highlights include full LED lighting, TFT instrumentation, premium touring ergonomics, as well as a 19-litre fuel tank designed to support longer rides between refuelling stops.
The Ninja 1100SX is offered in Emerald Blazed Green/Metallic Diablo Black.
