Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has expanded its local SUV lineup with the locally assembled Mercedes-Benz GLC 200 4MATIC, a petrol-powered mild hybrid variant to the current GLC range, paired with all-wheel drive functionality.
Positioned as the entry point to the latest-generation GLC lineup, the GLC 200 4MATIC is assembled at Mercedes-Benz Malaysia’s Pekan plant and combines mild-hybrid technology, AMG Line styling, and a comprehensive list of comfort and safety features. The model is currently priced at RM329,888 on the road without insurance for Peninsular Malaysia, inclusive of 10% sales tax.
Powertrain and Performance
The GLC 200 4MATIC is powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine from Mercedes-Benz’s FAME (Family of Modular Engines) range. It is paired with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system featuring a second-generation integrated starter-generator.
The petrol engine produces 204 hp and 320 Nm of torque, while the electric motor contributes an additional 17 kW and 205 Nm. Power is delivered to all four wheels via the 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system, enabling a 0–100 km/h acceleration time of 7.8 seconds and a top speed of 221 km/h.
Ride comfort and handling are managed by AGILITY CONTROL suspension, which uses passive selective damping to automatically adapt ride characteristics based on road conditions.
Exterior Design and Features
The GLC 200 4MATIC is offered with AMG Line exterior styling as standard, giving it a sportier and more premium appearance within the GLC range. Key exterior highlights include:

Lighting is handled by LED High Performance headlamps with Adaptive Highbeam Assist, while surround lighting with Mercedes-Benz logo projection adds a distinctive visual signature when approaching the vehicle.
At the rear, two-section LED tail lamps with a three-dimensional internal design emphasise the SUV’s width, complemented by a simulated chrome underguard and chrome-look tailpipe finishers.
Interior and Technology
Inside, the GLC 200 4MATIC features an AMG Line interior finished in black ARTICO man-made leather. Sport-oriented elements include a nappa leather multifunction steering wheel, AMG sports pedals, and ARTICO trim on the instrument panel and beltlines.
The digital cockpit consists of:
- A 12.3-inch fully digital driver display
- An 11.9-inch central touchscreen, angled slightly towards the driver
Both displays run the latest MBUX infotainment system, including MBUX Navigation Premium and MBUX Augmented Reality Navigation.
