Boon Siew Honda officially unveiled the new Honda ADV160 at the Malaysia Bike Show 2026 at MAEPS, Serdang, introducing two variants for the Malaysian market — the ADV160 Honda RoadSync and ADV160 ABS.
The launch also marks the completion of Honda’s connected ADV scooter line-up in Malaysia, with the X-ADV 750, ADV350 and now the ADV160 all equipped with Honda RoadSync connectivity technology.

According to Boon Siew Honda managing director and CEO Kunitomo Asano, Honda sees itself as the pioneer of the adventure scooter category and continues refining the ADV range based on rider feedback.
“Honda saw the potential and vision beyond others. We created a category that did not exist. As the pioneer of the adventure market in motorcycle, we have been meticulously observant and diligent at hearing our customers’ feedback to refine our next product,” he said.

Both ADV160 variants are powered by a 157cc Enhanced Smart Power+ (eSP+) engine that is certified as an Energy Efficient Vehicle (EEV) and carries a 5-star MyMAP accreditation.
The liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine produces 11.8kW at 8,500rpm and 14.7Nm of torque at 6,500rpm.
Standard equipment across both variants includes Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC), anti-lock braking system (ABS), an adjustable windscreen, full LED lighting, Honda Smart Key system with anti-theft alarm, USB Type-C charging port, 30 litres of under-seat storage and rear SHOWA subtank suspension.

Honda also claims a riding range of up to 350km on a full tank.
The ADV160 Honda RoadSync variant adds a 5-inch TFT display integrated with Honda RoadSync smartphone connectivity, allowing riders to access navigation, calls, music and message notifications directly through the meter display.

Meanwhile, the ADV160 ABS variant retains the same rugged ADV styling and practicality package but uses a conventional digital meter panel for riders seeking a more straightforward everyday commuting setup.

Pricing for the new ADV160 starts from RM13,249 for the ADV160 ABS in Gray or White, while the ADV160 Honda RoadSync in Matte Gray or Brown is priced at RM13,649.
The new ADV160 line-up will be available at Honda Impian X and authorised dealerships nationwide from 11 June 2026 onwards.
Boon Siew Honda is offering a two-year or 20,000km manufacturing warranty, whichever comes first.
The new ADV160 is currently being showcased at the Honda booth during Malaysia Bike Show 2026, alongside the full ADV scooter range including the ADV350 and X-ADV 750. Visitors can also participate in test rides, riding safety activities and games throughout the event.

CarTok Editor’s Note
The ADV160’s success says a lot about changing consumer psychology that increasingly steers towards machines that project lifestyle, versatility and escapism, even if the owners never leave city roads.
Honda’s ADV formula essentially borrows the emotional appeal of adventure motorcycles and compresses it into a low-risk, automatic scooter platform that ordinary commuters could realistically live with every day. In many ways, it mirrors what SUVs did to the automotive industry: consumers are buying into the image of capability more than the capability itself.
With RoadSync now trickling down into the ADV160, Honda seems to understand that future differentiation in the small-capacity premium scooter market may increasingly come from digital ecosystem convenience rather than outright mechanical hardware.
