GWM Malaysia Partners Touch ‘n Go To Showcase Titan Flow Technology At AKLEH Enhanced RFID Lane

GWM Malaysia partnered with Touch ‘n Go to support the demonstration of the latter’s new Titan Flow Technology, an enhanced RFID tolling system designed to deliver more accurate vehicle detection and a smoother toll payment experience for Malaysian motorists.
The collaboration saw GWM Malaysia act as the mobility partner for a live media drive-through experience at the Enhanced RFID lane at the AKLEH Dato Keramat toll plaza, where journalists were able to experience the upgraded RFID system using a fleet of GWM vehicles.
Smarter RFID Technology
Titan Flow Technology is Touch ‘n Go’s latest enhancement to its RFID ecosystem, focused on improving vehicle detection accuracy while allowing motorists to pass through toll plazas more seamlessly.
The upgraded system combines improvements in RFID hardware, lane infrastructure and software algorithms to achieve a reported 99.98% RFID detection accuracy, reducing missed tag reads and unnecessary stops at toll plazas. It is also designed to detect RFID tags more consistently at higher vehicle speeds, helping improve traffic flow through busy toll lanes.
The Enhanced RFID lane at AKLEH’s Dato Keramat toll plaza serves as the first live deployment of the new technology and will help evaluate its performance before wider implementation at other locations.
GWM Supports Connected Mobility
As the mobility partner for the demonstration, GWM Malaysia supplied vehicles from across its local model range, allowing members of the media to experience Titan Flow Technology under real-world driving conditions.
The collaboration reflects the growing convergence between vehicle technology and digital infrastructure as automakers increasingly look beyond the vehicle itself to improve the ownership experience.
“Today’s drivers expect mobility to be simple, seamless and connected. Collaborations like this show how automotive brands and technology partners can work together to improve the ownership experience through practical innovation. At GWM Malaysia, we remain committed to supporting initiatives that deliver meaningful benefits for Malaysian drivers,” said GWM Malaysia Managing Director of Corporate Affairs, Cui Anqi.

Multi-powertrain Strategy
GWM Malaysia currently offers one of the broadest powertrain portfolios among automotive brands in Malaysia, with internal combustion engine (ICE), hybrid electric vehicle (HEV), plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) and battery electric vehicle (EV) models spanning multiple vehicle segments.
While each powertrain caters to different customer needs, they share a common objective of leveraging technology to optimise performance, efficiency and everyday usability. Supporting innovations such as Titan Flow Technology further complements that approach by extending technology benefits beyond the vehicle and into the wider mobility ecosystem.
CarTok Editor’s Note
This collaboration is not about launching a new vehicle, but about highlighting the growing digital ecosystem surrounding modern motoring. A better ownership experience increasingly depends on how well vehicles interact with the infrastructure around them, from toll payments and charging networks to navigation and connected services.
Technologies like Titan Flow demonstrate that improvements outside the vehicle can be just as important as those inside it, and collaborations between automakers and mobility providers are likely to become more common as Malaysia’s transport ecosystem becomes more connected.
