Perodua, Bank Rakyat Launch Credit Card-i With 5x Rewards On Fuel, EV Charging And Maintenance

Perodua and Bank Rakyat have launched a new Credit Card-i aimed at vehicle owners, offering enhanced rewards for everyday automotive spending including fuel, EV charging, vehicle maintenance and takaful protection.
The Perodua-Bank Rakyat Credit Card-i marks Perodua’s first partnership with a banking institution to introduce a Credit Card-i.
Five Times Reward Points On Automotive Spending
One of the main features of the card is five times reward points on selected automotive-related purchases.
These include spending on:
- Fuel
- EV charging
- Vehicle maintenance
- Takaful protection
The accumulated rewards can be converted and redeemed through the Perodua P-Circle mobile app, giving Perodua customers a direct way to use their card rewards within the brand’s digital ecosystem.
The partnership is also intended to support the wider automotive ecosystem by combining vehicle ownership-related services with Islamic banking products.

No Annual Fee And 0% Overseas Transaction Fees
The Credit Card-i comes with no annual fee, while cardholders will also enjoy 0% overseas transaction fees.
The card additionally includes complimentary takaful coverage for total outstanding balances of up to RM300,000, applicable up to the age of 70.
A RM1,000 Khairat Kematian (Bereavement Benefit) is also included.
For customers interested in the product itself, the card comes in two designs inspired by the Perodua QV-E and TIRA, a character from the animation film featured on the P-Circle mobile app.
Perodua Package Offers Planned
Perodua President and Chief Executive Officer Dato’ Sri Zainal Abidin Ahmad said the partnership marks a significant milestone for the company as its first Credit Card-i collaboration with a banking institution.
He added that Perodua will run a special campaign encouraging customers to apply for the Credit Card-i through exclusive Perodua Package offers.
Bank Rakyat Group Chief Executive Officer Ahmad Shahril Mohd Shariff said the collaboration combines Islamic banking with the automotive industry to provide customers with financial solutions and rewards relevant to vehicle ownership.

A Card Built Around The Cost Of Owning A Car
For motorists, the appeal of the Perodua-Bank Rakyat Credit Card-i is fairly straightforward: several of the biggest recurring expenses associated with running a car are among the spending categories receiving enhanced rewards.
The inclusion of EV charging alongside conventional fuel also reflects the increasingly varied ways Malaysians power their vehicles, while maintenance and takaful spending cover other regular costs of ownership.
Members of the public can obtain more information about the Perodua-Bank Rakyat Credit Card-i at Perodua sales and service outlets or Bank Rakyat branches.
CarTok Editor’s Note
It’s not really about the credit card, but Perodua’s focus to keep customers within its own ownership ecosystem after they have driven their new car out of the showroom.
By linking rewards to the P-Circle app, Perodua has another reason to keep customers engaged with its digital platform — which will potentially offer more services and products over time. The more useful P-Circle becomes, the more valuable the customer relationship becomes for Perodua.
For customers, this would mean greater convenience. For Perodua, it creates a tighter feedback loop and more opportunities to serve the customer over the vehicle ownership cycle.
