Suzuki Expands Malaysian SUV Range With Upgraded Jimny AllGrip Plus, New Rhino Plus And Fronx Sport

Naza Eastern Motors has expanded its Suzuki SUV portfolio in Malaysia with the introduction of three new variants: the upgraded Suzuki Jimny AllGrip Plus, the adventure-themed Suzuki Jimny Rhino Plus, and the Suzuki Fronx Sport.
The latest additions aim to strengthen Suzuki’s presence in Malaysia’s growing lifestyle and compact SUV segments, while bringing more technology, safety features and styling enhancements across the range.
Most notably, the Jimny AllGrip Plus retains its previous price despite receiving a significant upgrade package, while the Fronx line-up now benefits from a lower entry price.
Jimny AllGrip Plus Gains Major Safety And Convenience Upgrades
The biggest update arrives with the Suzuki Jimny AllGrip Plus, which now comes equipped with a substantially expanded list of driver assistance, safety and comfort features.

Priced from RM158,900 (on-the-road without insurance), the Jimny AllGrip Plus maintains its previous pricing while adding:

While the equipment list has grown considerably, the Jimny remains mechanically unchanged.

Power comes from Suzuki’s familiar 1.5-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine producing 100 hp and 130 Nm, paired to a four-speed torque-converter automatic transmission. The SUV continues to utilise Suzuki’s AllGrip Pro part-time four-wheel-drive system with selectable 2H, 4H and 4L modes.
The ladder-frame chassis construction, compact dimensions and low-range transfer case remain central to the Jimny’s off-road-focused character.
The Jimny AllGrip Plus is available in six colours: Kinetic Yellow with Bluish Black Pearl roof, Chiffon Ivory with Bluish Black Pearl roof, Jungle Green, Medium Grey, Bluish Black Pearl, and Pure White Pearl.

Jimny Rhino Plus Adds A More Distinctive Look
Joining the range is the new Suzuki Jimny Rhino Plus, which targets buyers looking for a more personalised and rugged appearance.
Priced from RM173,900, the Rhino Plus builds upon the Jimny AllGrip Plus with a collection of exclusive styling enhancements.

Key additions include:
- Exclusive front grille
- 15-inch polished alloy wheels
- Rhino-branded spare tyre cover

Mechanically, the Rhino Plus shares the same powertrain and AllGrip Pro four-wheel-drive system as the Jimny AllGrip Plus.

Fronx Sport Introduced With Sportier Styling Package
Suzuki has also introduced the Fronx Sport, a new flagship variant designed to offer a more aggressive appearance for urban SUV buyers.

Mild Hybrid Powertrain And Over 700km Range
Powering the Fronx Sport is a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine paired with Suzuki’s Integrated Starter Generator (ISG) mild hybrid system.
The powertrain produces 103 PS at 6,000 rpm and 138 Nm at 4,400 rpm. Drive is sent to the front wheels through a six-speed automatic transmission equipped with paddle shifters.
According to Suzuki, the combination of the mild hybrid system, lithium-ion battery and 37-litre fuel tank allows the Fronx Sport to achieve a WLTP-rated driving range of more than 700 km.
The compact SUV measures:
- Length: 3,995 mm
- Width: 1,765 mm

Warranty And Ownership Support
All three new models are covered by a 3-year or 100,000 km vehicle warranty, whichever comes first.
The Fronx Sport additionally receives a 5-year or 100,000 km battery warranty.
Supporting owners is Suzuki Malaysia’s nationwide network of 14 sales outlets and 13 service centres.
CarTok.my Editor’s Note
There aren’t many ladder-frame off-roaders like the Jimny left on sale today, making the addition of modern safety and driver assistance features without a price increase particularly noteworthy. The Rhino Plus and Fronx Sport add more style to the line-up, but the bigger takeaway is Suzuki’s focus on improving value.
