Perodua Cuts Service Maintenance Costs By Average 10% From 19 June

Perodua has announced a reduction in service maintenance costs across its model range, with customers expected to save an average of 10% on servicing bills at authorised service centres nationwide from today, 19 June 2026.

The reduction covers both maintenance parts and labour charges, subject to terms and conditions.

According to Perodua President and Chief Executive Officer, Dato’ Sri Zainal Abidin Ahmad, the initiative is part of the company’s efforts to help customers manage rising living costs while maintaining their vehicles using genuine Perodua parts.

“The price reduction is based on the maintenance parts price as well as labour costs used by the customer and overall, the customer is expected to save about 10% of their average service bill beginning tomorrow (19 June),” he said.

The campaign applies to all Perodua models, including the QV-E electric vehicle, and covers routine inspections, parts replacement and labour charges related to vehicle maintenance.

Perodua said more than five million of its vehicles are currently on Malaysian roads, making the programme one of the largest aftersales cost-reduction initiatives undertaken by a local automotive brand.

In 2025 alone, Perodua service centres nationwide handled approximately 3.7 million vehicle service visits.

Dato’ Sri Zainal said the company was able to lower servicing costs through operational efficiency improvements and waste reduction measures, allowing the savings to be passed on to customers.

“We believe that the reduction in service cost will assist our customers in reducing their mobility cost, and we at Perodua, will do our part to give greater value to our customer,” he added.

QV-E Promotional Pricing Continues

The announcement follows Perodua’s recent revision of pricing for its first electric vehicle, the QV-E.

The QV-E is currently priced from RM93,999 for outright ownership, while buyers can also opt for a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) package priced at RM69,999 for the vehicle body plus a monthly battery subscription fee of RM215, inclusive of tax, for nine years.

As part of an ongoing promotion running until 30 September 2026, Perodua is offering the QV-E from RM87,499 for outright ownership or RM63,499 with the BaaS package, while retaining the same RM215 monthly battery subscription fee.

Customers can obtain further details on the servicing cost reduction campaign by visiting authorised Perodua service centres nationwide.

CarTok Editor’s Note

With great sales comes great responsibility. Having five million vehicles on Malaysian roads comes with that responsibility, for better or worse.

Perodua already dominates Malaysia’s new car market, so reducing maintenance costs is less about attracting new buyers and more about looking after existing owners. The company is effectively building customer loyalty through affordable servicing just as much as affordable monthly instalments.

For most owners, the cheapest car is not the one with the lowest purchase price. It’s the one that remains affordable to maintain five or ten years down the road.
